/sarcasm: On Gee it will be so nice to have cheap Mexican goods here and the increased volume of things sold to Mexico will sure be worth it! I am looking forward to the fine upstanding hard working Mexican workforce to have full access to our roads. I am sure these Knights of the Highways will be kind, courteous and safe! /sarcasm: Off
Obviously no one has ever driven near El Paso or Nuevo Laredo. These are some of the worst drivers known to man! Their trucks are usually cast-offs from the American companies that have been put together with duct tape and baling wire. I have seen some of these “safe” trucks with orange crates for seats and the roofs cut off to make them into some sort of bastard convertibles.
There is also the criminal element. Do you think (we’ll call them all Pedro because I am too lazy to think of a better name) Pedro, who makes the equivalent of $200 a week will turn down a grand to look the other way while their trailer is being loaded? It’s an old scam. “I do not see what ees een my trailer. eet ees sealeded at the warehouse.” I doubt if enough trucks will be stopped and searched to make a dent into any illegal shipping that may come down the pike..
I am not happy. I was going to try to get back OTR.
Yeah, all true, but you gotta admit it’s fun watching the teamsters get f****d by their president.
You can always count on Obama to act against the best interests of the U.S. I am now fully convinced he truly is a Manchurian Candidate.
emdfl - actually this is one thing I will blame on Bush. But you are correct - it will be fun to watch the teamsters get f***ed by this little ‘deal’.
Actually, ward, if you note in the article it was the obumble transpo sec who signed off on this after more then ten years. So yeah, the bush team started it, but as with most one-worlding things that bush started, the obumble team is finishing them.
But folks, don’t you get it? Президент Обама is Leading from Behind!
