2. The rig blow up sounds much like the Piper Alpha in the north sea about 1990, had a mate on that and he got off OK but similar story but with tome tampering thrown in (damaged LPG pump with loose steel balls found blocking it, pump out and poorly capped off, other pump fails and the kit automaticaly switches to the capped off one, thousands of PSI blow caps and then ricochet around machine room that then goes bang, lots of dead bodies there. Thing is BP owned the rig, a swiss company seem to have been leasing it and a Yank companny were maintaining it, the lawyers must be rubbing their grubby hands.
