  4. It infuriates me every time I hear someone say “You won’t see any benefits from drilling for ____ years,” and DON’T hear anyone respond with, “Well then you damn well better get started then, huh?”

  5. Down here too $3.59 - I do believe that the threat of Drill Here. Drill Now. Pay Less combined with President Bush lifting the Executive ban on drilling - really shook up OPEC and those speculators - and the price goes down.

Imagine if we were to drill and refine - why it would mean 1)jobs (and indirect jobs such as ads and trucking) and 2)we could really ‘Buy American’ and 3)Independence from Foreign Oil. But I do know enough - especially given this past week - that ‘Independence’ is a code word. It does not mean independence from foreign oil - it really means independence from oil.

Which would be great, if the envirowackos and left would allow an alternative which was up and running - but there really isn’t one that is viable for all the products and services that oil is part of/makes happen. If and it is a big if, something to take the majority of the place of oil was up and going - well then this would be a different argument. But I don’t see it, at all.

Seems to me - if you put all the pieces together - the left wants everyone living in a small apartment (i.e. the projects)[re: the Supremes mandated Kelo land grab], using the subway or Metro, silent [re: the (un)Fairness Doctrine] and kowtowing to the Congress on a daily basis.

I can’t believe that anyone is falling for it - or worse that stupid Republicans are going along with it.

  6. African Proverb:

“The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the next best time is today!”
