  1. Unfortunately, I can only see these cases increasing, given that bans on some of the more aggressive dog breeds have led to the gangs employing attack monkeys and attack snakes.

This, as usual, will not be pretty.

  2. Rats, he beat me to it. Do you want to do the “Olivia Newton John’s Long Lost Love, feared dead, found in Mexico” story? Maybe not. I’ll get the badminton one.

  3. Snakes on an island! Snakes on a mot*** **ck*** island! Somebody call Samuel L. F***ing Jackson to get those mot*** **ck*** snakes OFF that mot*** **ck*** island!!!!

This is becoming degrading. Guns, then knives, now snakes. Rats next? Cicadas? Can you see the news in a couple years if this downward spiral continues?  “Senior citizen mugged with chicken” “it was a Rhode Island Red” says Dribbles J. Prunez, 87, “I nearly wet myself when confronted with a Magnum Hen like that!”

  4. Here’s a link to the story about the attack with the bleach:
    Vicious bleach attack: gang hunted

A description of the assailants is at the end.

The victim’s eyesight keeps going blurred.

England really needs to stop this revolving-door sentence bullshit, and put and KEEP criminals like this away for a good long time (10 to 20 years would be appropriate for this).  We all know that won’t happen though.  He’ll probably get 1 year parole at best.  *bangs head on desk*

  5. I wonder when someone is going to actually get the point that it isn’t the weapon that commits violence but the human brandishing it! and get a clue to start working on that.

But the seeds of violence are not what liberals/left want to hear - it is easy to prevent a violent youth.  A strong nuclear family (i.e. two married opposite sex parents - one working, one not), education, civic and social (to include, gasp, religious involvement) - are indeed the core of a civic, peaceful society. [Yes I know that a certain cult masquerading as a religion has many of these qualities - and still is pumping out a very violent youth - one day countries will realize and call it a cult - or will perish in denial]

The exact same people who want to shove illegal aliens (giving them all the rights citizens have), who want the Nanny State to tell you when to go to the Dr and what tests you can or can not have, who want you to snitch on your neighbor - are the exact same people who are letting these predators free under the guise of ‘they are simply misunderstood’ touchy-feely bs.

  6. Wardmama:  Further to what you said (and nicely said), I’d like them to keep criminalization to specific criminal acts, and stop criminalizing inanimate objects.

If a man commits murder with a firearm, then charge, try, and convict him for the act that was the important core of the whole case:  HE KILLED SOMEONE DELIBERATELY.  It shouldn’t matter if he used a firearm, a knife, a machete, a can of gas and a zippo, a vehicle… (you get the point, I’m sure.)

Second:  We need to stop making laws based on fear of what could happen.  Let us return to the tradition of making only the laws that are obviously needed to prevent mass damage or death, and get away from laws that are knee-jerk responses to negative case instances, or that are merely safety circle-jerk fantasies of a bunch of pencil-pushing, dust-sniffing bureaucratic busybodies that are on a little-Hitler power-trips.

Anything else is shadow boxing and makes us weak.

  8. Peiper:  Yup.  Now watch them have a big stupid shriekfest about how machetes should be banned, because you know, it’s the inanimate object that’s responsible for the death.  *facepalm*

In all seriousness:  Find the people that did this, and let ‘em cool their heels in prison for 25 years if it’s their first offense, life if their second (or more).  And by life, I don’t mean “out in 7 for good behavior”.  No.  Life.  As in:  Gone forever out of society.  G’bye.  You’re gonna DIE in prison from old age (if you’re lucky.)

I’d call for the death penalty, but England doesn’t have one (more’s the pity.) But hey, I’m on a roll… Bring BACK the death penalty, and START USING IT.
