  1. Very true. I think they just like victimhood. It won’t end in our lifetime and you can stick that on your fridge and look at in in ten years and then pass it on to grandchildren and beyond.
What a drag ppl like that must be on those who don’t think that way.
And nothing is ever enough either.

Silly white guilt plays into that and encourages it too.  btw ,,I don’t think that many actually feel real guilt.  I think they think they should feel it and don’t and maybe feel guilty for not feeling the guilt. Simple.
Next patient please. Dr.Jeff will see you now.

  2. Less than that Peiper. I think a lot of whites just shut their mouths and let it go just to avoid a confrontation. Let somebody else deal with it because it just isn’t worth getting into it.

Well, now that The O is soon-to-be in charge, that’s all past us. Come mid January I want to hear that Affirmative Action has been canceled, that racial quotas in the workplace are a thing of the past, the concept of racially based hate crime is annulled, and that no agency or form anywhere in the country collects group data. Because it’s over. Done. We all be equal now.

yeah, I know I’m delusional. But still ...

  3. Sorry Drew, but now it is time for me to conk you on the head again over a few details.

    The quote was:

“Even Hitler didn’t wake up going, ‘let me do the most evil thing I can do today.’ I think he woke up in the morning and using a twisted, backwards logic, he set out to do what he thought was ‘good.’”

In other words, he believes that Hitler THOUGHT he was doing good, not that he actually WAS doing good. Slight difference.

But I agree with the larger point here.

  4. Turtler,Havent you ever heard the term: Poetic License.
BTW. As I coined here before, the rest of the world has been using “Hate America First” as a rallying cry for all there serious _uckups for generations now. So why should anyone think that this attitude would ever disolve in any of our minority groups lists of excuses for failure or acceptance of the majority.

  5. "Turtler,Havent you ever heard the term: Poetic License.”

Yes, I have. I have actually used it a few times myself, in fact.

“BTW. As I coined here before, the rest of the world has been using “Hate America First” as a rallying cry for all there serious _uckups for generations now. So why should anyone think that this attitude would ever disolve in any of our minority groups lists of excuses for failure or acceptance of the majority. “

And that does nothing to change the fact that WILL. SMITH. DID. NOT. SAY. THAT.

If anything, he fell victim to the same traps we Conservatives have suffered: a biased, sensationalized media that cares more about selling newspapers then the truth.

Now, there are plenty of things to nail Smith over, and even more things to nail the Cult of Victimization with.

But let’s stick with the facts, OK?

The fact is that, far from being a blunder, Will Smith actually made a point that is far more profound then anything 99%+ of our other Tinsel Town Entertainment Monkeys could ever come up with: that evil men can see themselves as being good without actually BEING good.

And I fail to see why we should nail him over something that is both true and inoffensive.

  6. Since I don’t follow Oprah or Will Smith and hear almost nothing of them here, except recently Oprah ...  I did what a lot of folks do. Remember the old military rule, “assume nothing?” Ah well, I forgot the lesson and assumed that Smith actually did say that.

I’m not sure how to go about finding out if he did or didn’t. I guess I could have Snoped it
    and didn’t. Because ..... I simply assumed.

Turtler is quite right you know.  Before the election I’d get things from one particular friend at home in CA. An arch conservative, she’s married to a doctor and so I “assumed” she’d have the brain to think better.

Well, with all the very real things to be critical of Obama for, she’d forward these totally ridiculous claims that even a right winger like myself would question. She one of those folks who FORWARD EVERYTHING.  Hell, I don’t want to play the same game as liberals.
I don’t wanna be confused with ... one of them.

I once asked her why she didn’t do simple easy research.  Her reply was that she was too busy to be bothered with, “that sort of thing.” AH ... RCOB.

The bottom line though is, she truly believed (I discovered) every single thing she read
that was forwarded to her from some other air head who also “believed” every single thing they read.

I think we on the right need to be careful least we fall willingly into the liberal trap.
And it is sooooo easy to do, because we’re all of us so willing to believe EVERYTHING about those we do not care for.
