1. This looks like a good place to toss in something irrelavent but I want some honest opinions so here goes. I wrote this lil piece last sunday before the Mass election just as test of my writing skills ( Walden Im not)and to sum up the mood of the great silent majority. Just tell me what you think as Im trying to expand beyond my usual Henny Youngman one liners,Thanks.Its Title was “Great Scott”:

   Its been an intresting year by any standard in America.We have seen progressive ideas getting all the play they could possibly garner all over this great land.One by one they have been postured as wise and noble and way over due.
   Yet at the same time a whisper was started. At first it could not even be heard over the herds collective moo.So it was ignored by those in the know. When the whisper grew louder it was parodied and pilloried.Yet the whisper grew louder.Soon it actually revealed a voice. And that voice was becoming clear. It was taking the form of a grouping of cowboys ready to lead the herd into a corral they might find themselves trapped in for a long while if they didnt see the gates at both ends.
   But the herd was mooing so loud they just couldn’t hear the cowboys hooves. They had shielded their eyes from the dust cloud that was rising as the horses of freedom stirred.
   First it was the acorns that fell from grace with a simple exposure of the rotted seeds that had spawned them. Next it was the herds masters exclaiming that the voice was just noise from the past and was best ignored.Then a few of the masters went down to defeat in races they thought were theirs to win by default.They had bet that the fix was in and no need to work at the game anymore.
   None of them heard the sound of that first gate closing behind them. They continued chasing the ideas so dear to their hearts and souls. None had expected the cloud to decend on the one place where it had never decended before. It came as an almost overwhelming tornado. Confusion rained as the herd was thrown into a panic. Now some of the herd was looking for the cowboys to save them from the confusion and started to swear an affinity to them. We are on your side they said in desperation so as not to be on the wrong side of the gates as they closed. A few of them circled and tried to sidestep the cowboys horses as they rode around them and tightend their lasos. We cannot be tamed by you they said.
   But we do not intend to try to tame you the cowboys replied. We are simply going to keep you here while we fix the fences we thought we had erected long ago to keep you under control. You are free to feed on the bounty we have provided for so long but you will not regain the keys to the storehouse where all that is kept safe. Soon we will have again closed those gates and made it safe to go back to our ranches and enjoy the freedom we fought for so long ago to ensure.
   And so it was on that day,January 19,2010,in the State of Massachusettes,that the cowboys secured the first fence on the plains of liberty.And they all knew his name as he had headed that first horse in to the herd.
   Just call me Scott he said ,as he rode into the sun,It was just as wild a ride as I have ever had but damn was it fun.

2. I like it Rich - pretty good analogy of what happened and what is coming. We need to return (Congress - or as I like to call it - the Klownposse in DC) back into it’s original intent - a legislating body - not a governing, not a taxation, not a total control - body. And they think (despite the recent SC strike down of that incumbent protecting lie - McCain/Feingold) that they have all 3 branches of Government solidly in their corner. Yet even the fact that healthcare did not pass during the summer - but now appears dead in the water - isn’t registering on The Won - that he does not have all 3 branches of Government solidly in his camp - and he is springing leaks all over the place.

   I think if Reid or another big dem goes down - it is all over but the cryin time. This will be the biggest Dem failure and will keep them out of power for decades. But even so - I don’t think The Won nor the Klownposse in DC will recover in the remaining 3 years (although if even more leaks out of the WH - I don’t think The Big O will have 3 more years at all).

   Talk about astro-turf, talk about fake, talk about a organized community. New rallying cry for anyone not on The Won’s Thug Team - Who is Ellie Light?
