2. Firefox. I got all sorts of crazy characters on the browser, then it closed that tab.

3. For missives such as that, I use a word processing program - get my thoughts organized, spell checked, and proof read. Then I copy and paste the whole mess and hit submit. Once I’m sure it’s posted properly, I then kill the word processor. I’ve learned that Murphy NEVER takes a vacation and will strike at the worst time.

   Sadly, the US economy will not improve or rebound until three things happen:

   1-The job numbers must be aligned with reality. Unemployment means you have people with no job, it doesn’t matter that they have been looking for one week or two years.

   2-Get the Federal Government out of all the regulatory positions. These should be Not-For-Profit, private, standards enforcing entities.

   3-Reduce the size of the Federal Government. Period. This bloat has lead to a massive increase in Federal spending and that resulting debt has upended the economy. As an example, why do we need a Department of Homeland Security? Isn’t that what the Department of Defense does? (I recall my oath in the Army was to defend “against all enemies, Foreign and Domestic”.)

   In short, not much will change until we can reduce the Federal bloat and the associated 20 different programs doing the same thing. Get our national debt under control and quit wasting so much money on crap.

5. jackal - “save early and often” - yup, it’s my own dumb fault. Still, I wasn’t expecting Firefox to prang like that.
