  1. I guess we could fire it into space?  And hope that rocket does not malfunction.  That’s my worry about atomic energy.  You screw up and you got a problem for 50,000 years.  ohh remember Murphy’s Law.

  2. OCM - Oinks funny glow is from his days at Rocky Flats.

Bring on the nukes. Nuke power all the way! Good for miners, good for all electrical users, get us off of some of the middle east oil! Hell yes, more nuke power! Fuck the commies that try to stop it!

  3. Actually sending it into space is not very practical at $10,000 or more per pound launch costs (just for regular non nuclear items). Even if the rocket did malfunction the result would likely not be catastropic as uranium and plutonium are so dense it would land mostly in a big lump somewhere and be relativly easy to recover. The best thing to do is reprocess the spent fuel waste then you reduce its bulk by 90%. And you get far more electrical production from each kilo of uranium or plutonium. These are valuable resources and we should make the most of them. I have done quite a bit of research on radioactive materials and you could bury this material just about anywhere and it would not cause harm to anyone or anything. The only reason they have come up with an elaborate burial plan like Yucca Mountain is to appease the enviro nazi’s who are fear mongers and liars only talking about “worst case scenerios” to make nuclear power plants look orders of magnitude more dangerous than they are. Its time to build more nuclear plants I would like them to build three in my neighborhood (near liberal idiot Seattle). GO NUKES!!!

These are the same idiots who want to do away with the evil “fossil fuel economy”. Their ideas about solar and wind power are preposterous. The only thing that will make large jet powered airliners fly is kerosene. Its the only thing we have that has the fuel power density. The enviro talk of alternative energy is just as practical in the real world as a solar powered jetliner. I can see it now: “Greenpeace Airways” they cover their Boeing 747 with solar panels and replace the jet engines with wind turbines. Now they get in and just sit there going nowhere fast. If its day time they might get enough power to run some of the cabin lights. If its windy they might get enough power to run a couple of ventilation fans. And thats about it, if they were in charge of the national power system we would already be about 95% short on electical power already The scary thing about these hypocrites is that they all talk about their stupid energy concepts while flying on an airliner buring fossil fuels to go to some enviro conference, having no clue whatsoever that the jet ride alone is proof that their ideas are worthless.
