We’re maybe beginning to see the free speech problems with “campaign finance reform”?
I regret that a candidate must raise $$Gazillions to have a chance of winning national office. When big money is involved, big corruption is close behind. But I think we could rest assured that the opposition would expose the fact that unions or corporations are funding a particular ad campaign or blog. It’s not useful to torch the 1st Amendment to clean house.
