’Tree pollen’ is that like ‘scuse me while I kiss the guy’? There were a couple of songs - that I am never sure I hear the words right.
Yeah - let the damn price of oil fall into the friggin gutter. We live in the county but a brief 3 block drive north is the city environs (the city itself is 5 minutes to the east) - the gas price yesterday was the diff of $3.41 here to a high of $3.71 (first station we saw in the ‘city’). Isn’t it always the po’ who get hit the hardest! Of course our mayor is devising all sorts of ideas (i.e. taxes) to fund his disastrous (recent local poll - had 78% who would NOT ride it) streetcar. Those high gas taxes have to go somewhere - they sure aren’t going to the bridge repair.
And then the dang food prices can start to drop. We are figuring out how to cover the cats shots (I thought that they were a couple of months apart - but we got both within a week of each other). They are completely inside cats - I’m seriously thinking of putting it off until we aren’t hit with continual hundred dollar plus ‘unexpected’ bills. We can’t keep sucking up savings - if one of our ancient cars goes down - we are up a creek - so to speak.
Bet that the (p)Resident is behind this - he’s had a real sucky two weeks - and now his AG is about to be charged with contempt - nothing like a distraction (and one that will please the sheeple) to get the media out of the necessity of reporting such damaging truths such as a contempt charge.
Right now - I don’t really care - it can all go to hell - put another 23 million out of work and see if this empty suit could even be elected dog catcher.
BTW - check out Michelle Malkin - seems that the dnc party to celebrate the boy king - isn’t quite going as planned.
Karma is a b*tch - couldn’t happen to a more deserving person.
Don’t forget all those ‘bowing’ visits Obama paid to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. They want to keep him and his anti-Israeli friends in office and I’d wager a fair bit of pocket money that the price fall is their ‘contribution’ to his campaign. If there is one thing Chicago politicians know it’s collusion…

Fuel prices in Boise have fallen...4 cents over the past 3 months. Still $3.71 per gallon. I don’t get why we always are about the last state to see prices fall.
Just today I finally got rid of the 3/4 ton Chevy truck with the 454. Couldn’t afford to drive it anywhere and my 18 year old daughter was using it to go to work and back.
Up here in Ontario Canada, the best price I’m seeing in my area is $1.176 (CDN) per liter (works out to $4.338 (USD) per Gallon).
The oil can plummet and the retail gas outlets will sail high for months afterwards, still playing their weekly price spike games of ~10 cents a liter (about 37 cents a gallon.)
Of my $1.176, a 13 percent combined federal and provincial sales tax of 13% is included. When we remove that, the price becomes: $1.041
Then we remove the _other_ federal/provincial taxes that are included in the price, the federal excise tax of 10 cents per liter, and the provincial excise tax of 14.7 cents per liter, and the real cost of the retail fuel with the government’s hand out of my pocket is:
$0.794/liter or: $2.93/gal.
$2.93/gal versus $4.39/gal. $1.41/gal JUST IN GOD DAMNED TAXES.
In fact, I think I’m going to borrow an idea I saw online: Write up “Today’s Price without taxes” on little 3M Stickies and leave them at the pump.
I want my fellow citizens good and damned AWARE of how much the government has their hands in our pockets.
And this is but one example.
