Sarkozy’s campaign has been haunted by his use of the word “scum” to describe young delinquents days before widespread riots erupted in 2005 in the bleak suburbs on the outskirts of the country’s cities. Some youths took Sarkozy’s comment as a declaration of war.
Almost makes me want to move there and vote for him
Definitely watch for more riots from “yutes” in France this summer. Only this time, if Sarkozy is elected, he sends the frakkin’ ARMY in to quell them!
This bears watching closely - from a distance ... a great distance.
About 250-300 miles up should suffice....
Then we can just nuke the place from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure....

If they vote Royal (avec fromage) as President then they will sink into the abyss. They asked an old Frenchman on the street who he wanted to win and his reply was “Margaret Thatcher” which to be honest is what they need to sort things out. I think “Sarko” will be elected President but whether or not he can pass through the laws to sort France out I have my doubts. They have become addicted to socialism and the 35hr working week. They seem to go on strike at the drop of a hat and it’s hard to work up much sympathy for them.
Ah, mon ami, just spend 10 days in France - Paris and Normandy. Sarko is not against immigrants at all being Hungarian and all. He is strong, tho, on legal immigration and wants to set up a ministry on immigration and assimilation. He has the radical idea that, if you move to France, you should become French in your basic social identity, and that does not mean giving up any other identity. So, we Americans would have to put up with some things the French do that we don’t, like accept a certain level of anarchy as the price for “fraternity.”
Most Frenchies I spoke to were very much on Sarko’s side, and saw Royale as the candidate of continued decline. As one older woman put it regarding a Royale victory, “poor France!” A Parisian said France needed a Reagan to stand up to the unions and a Thatcher to lead the nation. But he fears that even Sarko is not strong enough to do so.
France has so much to offer, and we could learn much, but you really have to dig to find it sometimes.
By the way, for those who insist that Amerika is a warmongering imperialist occupying power, I might just send the Skip some photos soon of some of the occupiers I took while over there.
Simple solution for a fair election is to tighten voter registration, photo id and a w-2 that indicates you are a bona fide contributor to the tax system and not a pick -pocketing metro dwelling scum!
