So you’re getting the worst weather since Valley Forge.  Just to prove G-d has a sense of humor, one researcher has been studying California weather patterns going back almost 2,000 years and has discovered that California is often much drier than it has been for the last century.  There is some chance that we may be facing a mega drought that could last as long as 150 years.  We’re already getting a little thirsty.  If an anticipated El Nino system doesn’t develop soon, we’re going to have some problems.

    I can’t wait to hear what the Global Warming chicken littles will have to say about that.  You think they’ll say it’s all because of CO2 emissions in the year 800?

    Actually it could be serious.  There are groups working to have the dams in the Sierra Nevada and elsewhere in the state, removed so that California can be returned to a pristine habitat.  It doesn’t seem to occur to them that doing that would also end California’s ability to supply huge amounts of food to the rest of the country and require a huge reduction in our population.
