Fort Hood shooting: FBI to investigate reports gunman said non-Muslims should be beheaded

 

1. Peiper that’s an easy one - if she shoots and does not kill - she is a hero. If she shoots and kills - she is put on administrative suspension while IA, in this case a CAIR Lawyer and of course all the ultra-liberal msm investigate the shooting, her life and eventually destroy any aspirations of a career that she might have had.

   While I’m having a second look at Union bound up LEOs here - I still think that most LEOs outside the big (dem run and corrupt) are not thuggish lying scum. And I do believe that in America - we have become guilty until proven innocent (if white) and excused no matter what the case (if certain ‘special interest’ minorities/groups).

   God Help America.

2. A handgun is not as lethal as most people think. There is fact in the statement that a pistol is good for buying time as you get to your rifle. Handguns are a balancing act of portability & lethality. There are many stories out there of scumbags being hit multiple times (look up that FBI shootout after a bank robbery) and still keep on fighting. Unless a major artery or organ is hit, and medical assistance is prompt, most people survive a GSW.

   Which is why a 12ga. is the preferred home defense weapon.

3. In a tense situation your accuracy can go right out the window. 4 hits, yes. 2 in the leg, one in the wrist are not necessarily “kill shots”. Poodle shooters are not the most effective either. Ammo is unknown, but a good center mass hit with a good 9mm hp can be effective, although not as effective as the same hit with a good .45 hp. But a handgun is something you have for that time when you suddenly realize you should have brought something bigger.

4. There is a big difference between firing at a paper target and firing at someone who is firing back at you. Also consider frame of mind: the mooselimb was in a killing frame of mind whereas the LEO was probably in a WTF-is-going-on, am I correctly assessing the situation frame of mind. The scum is (was?) on a ventilator so she hit him in the right places.
