Other than the ‘go back to sleep’ baby dance, I haven’t danced in decades. Used to enjoy it - real dances, not the gyrations that went with the current pop music - I have no beat rhythm so I sucked at that movin’ and groovin’ crap.
Wardmama, you need me and Linda to teach you and your hubby. Don’t go by what the Hallers danced in the video. Barbara was trained in classical ballet. It shows, doesn’t it? Tim? By day Tim is an engineer for General Electric.
I agree with you, I don’t do the ‘groovin’ crap. I taught classical ballroom. If you were really good, I might teach you the fancy stuff the Hallers did.
Wow, it’s a small world..
My wife and I are from Middletown and one of our first dates was at a dance at the Manchester Inn. MIL lives about a mile away.
Middletown. I guess I misspelled it.
Corsair, if you and the wife are still in the area, I’ll probably give you freebie dance lessons. Probably just be me. My wife works most evenings.
Thanks for the offer but we live in the STL area. We get back to OH 3 or 4 times a year to visit the MIL. BTW, at 6’6” I look like a spider trying to fly and at 5’3” my wife looks like a tick trying to burrow deeper into a dog when we dance. Pwople like us should be tasered if seen on a dance floor (although it would be hard to tell which motion is more graceful).
"Pwople” ??? What the...that would be people......
Corsair, you should meet Judy and Cisco. She’s the only woman I’ve danced with that’s taller than me (I’m 6’2") and her hubby Cisco is about 5’5”. They still manage to dance together. But I really like your description: spider, that’s a classic! We’ll do without describing your wife as a tick. Tacky. Very tacky.
Is STL Salt Lake City? or St. Louis? I’m not up on airport codes.
