I think it’s high time to just get rid of the whole bunch of them - the dems made such a howl about the ‘culture of corruption’ as one of the medusa of gambits to rid America of the Bush administration - and walla, the dems themselves are becoming the news with all their own scandels and corruptions. I say, flat tax, cut social programs and bureauacracies by 25% (most of that paperwork, laws and personnel), rid America of the IRS and that alone will probably do away with the deficit, term limits for congress critters just like they did to the Prez, cap of congress critters income - once again just like they did to the Prez (while secretly arranging for their own ‘cola’ to be voted only as to not accepted it for the year - man wouldn’t all of America like to vote their own income complete with a yearly raise that is a given, and finally let’s return this to what it was meant to be PUBLIC SERVANTS. They were meant to serve the people who voted them into to power, not try to rob us blind while making up laws (which they ignore themselves) to control all aspects of our lives.
I agree, Mama. But it seems no one’s ready for that (necessary) kind of “tough love” approach to government in our country. What’s scary, for me, are the parallels I keep drawing between the U.S. and Roman Empire of old.
