2. Hey I made a mistake that made money!

   Not in the same league. A client brought me 1000 shares of stock & instructed me to sell half.  Turns out that 500 shares were duplicates, due to a reported loss and replacement.  By the time we discovered this, the stock had dropped & we had a successful short sale worth $8000.  Helluva business when you can screw up and make money.

   We did the right thing and gave the client the benefit of the sale. His idiot son called up and complained—I generously offered to restore his Dad’s $50 stock sale that was now trading at $36 per share.
