You just can’t make these stories up!
If I find that at the store, some of it is SO coming home!
Gets even better cmblake6. The Baconnaise site has recipes. You gotta check them out.
Something I got addicted to many many years ago:
Peanut butter and sliced onion sandwichs
Hmmmm...I gotta try the baconaise on a roast beef sandwich.
Just when I thought I was pushing the limits of culinary catastrophe, TimO rides to my rescue. I’m gonna have to try that sandwich combo.
TimO .... Peanut butter and onions?
Why that’s, that’s, that’s unAmerican. I hope someone reports this to Skippy.
Onions? LOL.
Chris ... BaconMayo and Peanut Butter?
What’s the world coming to?
Hey, when out of Jam, which isn’t often, I just eat the stuff out of the jar. LOVE peanut butter. Can live on it. Don’t think we have the Bacon/Mayo thing here. Hard to imagine tho.
You’re right about jam. Much better then jelly.
peiper here I was thinking I was the only one who eats it from the jar (can’t get going on bread or I eat it at every meal and for snacks too).
Speaking of jam/jellies - I found a recipe (in the Bell canning recipes book) for plum vanilla jam - with real vanilla beans - it even beats my fav of strawberry jam.
Baconaise - will have to look that one up.
Your looking in the fridge story - reminded me of when I visited my Mom with my two older kids when she was living in FL - I told them not to touch a single thing in foil - as she probably moved it down from OH! After a year plus of going through her stuff, I’m now convinced of it!
Baconaise - will have to look that one up.
I did post a link in the article wardmama.
As for eating out of the jar, yeah, I do that sometimes. My preference would have been peanut butter and Ritz crackers.
“Everything tastes great when it sits on a Ritz!”
–– Andy Griffith
But I knew we were out of Ritz crackers. Hence my refrigerator expedition and the discovery of Baconnaise.
Oh yeah, peiper, don’t bother informing Skippy. I use Jif. “Choosy mothers choose Jif!”
Now I really have to get these old ad jingles out of my head!
Next entry: it's the old race ploy. again.
