    I’ll recommend that others visit snopes and your site.

    I’m an old sailor so I wouldn’t know a magazine vest from a suicide vest.

    It looked reasonable to me and I suppose that I wanted to believe it was a suicide bomber taken out by a sniper.

    In any case, that’s one less bad guy and I certainly don’t regret that.

    It includes a link to my photo gallery, in case anyone wants to verify that I am who I say I am.

    Indeed, a lot of people seemed to want to believe it was true.  I am not a sniper, and that guy was not a suicide bomber.  He was a bad guy, and got shot up by other Iraqis.  Seems simple enough to me. 

    People point out places where this hoax pops up.  Often, I am blamed for either oppressing the Iraqi people (yea, I’m such a fascist) or called unpatriotic/whatever for not killing Iraqis.  Heh, geesh. 

    Thank you.  Hopefully I will be ETS’ing out of the service soon enough.

RevDisk, thanks for clarifying, but other than the fact that it was not you who shot the scum bag, it’s not really a hoax.  It’s one less goat-fucking raghead.  I make no apologies for my disgust toward muslims.  It seems that to distinguish between an “insurgent” (a misnomer if there ever was one - they are TERRORIST SCUM!) and a “suicide bomber” (are they mutually exclusive?) is like distinguishing between a soft and hard turd.  What’s the point?  They are both pieces of shit that, along with the Koran should be flushed down the toilet.

    I’m sorry you’re still stuck in Kosovo.  We should have let Milosovich wipe ‘em all out and reclaim what rightfully belongs to Serbia.  It was a civil war we (Clinton) should never have gotten involved with.
