Uh… did you even bother to actually read the article, Allan? I only ask because you just lodged your foot firmly in your mouth.
The Republicans proposed a workable plan to save 10,000 bbls of oil per day. The Democrats’ “proposal” to “save” 1,000,000 bbls per day didn’t even have an implementation plan, method, or goal. It was just typical Democrat knee-jerk reactionism and empty promises, coupled with pre-emptive import bans that were guaranteed to send pump prices skyrocketing even faster than they already are, as well as increase new vehicle prices, and yet produce no beneficial results. The committee rejected the Democratic proposal for very good reasons.
