Equal Opportunity Gun Ownership

A “Social Images” site is trying to find fault with self-protection

  1. -’These are bizarre and terrifying’- I do not know whether to laugh or cry at a statement such as that (yes, I did go to view his posters). . .What scares me most - is that these people believe their own drivel - you can only point a handgun at one person at a time -
Well in the real world, Interrobang - if that doesn’t give them real good pause and reconsideration - pulling the trigger will. . .

Having a gun - and being as clueless as these people are - is a prescription for problems - just as giving the keys to a car to someone who has never had a lesson or taken a test.  . .

What is it with liberal whinners that they hear one horrible gun gone wrong story and that is the basis for their whole take on the subject. . .

Gun Ownership is Constitutionally Protected - I have never, ever seen the ‘right’ to abortion in the Constitution - typical of these loons, they are ignorant and keep proving it every time they open their mouths.

  2. The picture of the door options? I’ll take B for $1,000!

  3. I will admit, my home is ‘gun free’.... at this point, that’s because I don’t have the spare cash to go buy one.

That is NOT to say I am unarmed, nor that I support gun control. It only means that I was a medieval reenactor for over two decades, already had other means of self defense, and thought it was a nice little by product of my quirk that ballistics doesn’t help you trace a crossbow bolt.

  4. Off topic but does anyone know if the Canadians have the same approach to home defence as the British? I mean do the Mounties expect you to cower in a cupboard whilst waiting for the police? If for example you defended your property and shot an intruder would you be the one going to jail rather than the perp? I’m curious because we plan to move to Canada soon and I was hoping that commonsense hasn’t gone the same way in the Great White North as it has in Britain. I appreciate handguns are not available the way they are in the US, but shotguns and rifles don’t seem too difficult to obtain. Though I plan to take mine anyway. Hopefully a Canuck can point me in the right direction!

  5. Mr. Christian, you used the correct word. Drivel.
    My favorite part was

A friend of mine was trans-bashed in Baltimore by a gang of six guys. A gun wouldn’t have helped him, and in fact might have gotten him shot with his own gun—you can really only point a handgun at one person at a time.

Moron, this is why, unless you have a derringer, a person should have enough shots to improve the odds, if the others don’t flee for fear of the attention created by the sounds of gunfire.
He also brings up the words “holocaust” and “agents of the totalitarian state” standard moon-bat rhetoric, as well as the “might have” which is defeatism. Why fight back? You may get huuuurt!
This is the mindset that is hurting this country, and why we are slowly becoming the juiciest target for any country to attempt to invade, there are few people left with any sense of country, much less the will to fight for it.
I have seen combat, and I have been wounded, but, this scares me more than that ever did.
These are the type of people who would have been first to register with the Gestapo when they trooped into France, and would have reported to the proper authority if they saw violations of the new status quo.

Just my $.02 worth, which may be worth less, since I am rambling a bit.

  6. DD, damn right. As it has ALWAYS been, there must be sheepdogs to protect the sheep.

  7. Yeah, you can only point at one villian at a time, but the key is: Who wants to be the first one shot? Another point is: Have you ever seen a professional, timed, speed shooter? Holy Moley! Start to finish against however many targets in the time it takes to sneeze? That would stop most group attacks I believe.
