See the big ice chunk that broke off a
while back on satellite yet? Yikes. But is
their thinking flawed or ‘floe’d’? As long
as there is krill all is well.
Steel, I’ve worked in Antarctica and icebergs the size of Massachusetts have broken off the ice shelf.
Global warming? Or maybe that they have gotten so damned big they can’t remain attached due to weight and mass (remember, these chunks of ice “float” on water.)
Enviornment works in cycles far longer than the human life span. To make conclusions on an occurence that spans only one or two lifetimes is JUNK SCIENCE and needs to be exposed as such.
I’ll go you one better Vilmar. Earth is
a convection engine. There’s a semi-steady
fuel (Sun) and somethings gotta give some
where some time. And based on the law of
entrophy ... it all comes out a wash. I
have spent a good long time on the other
end of the poles my friend, I concur that
basing ANY OBSERVATIONS on our life cycle
is infantile. BUT, it is a real bitch when
you’re out there cruising around and have
to concern yourself with a floe the size
of Idaho. We both know ‘global warming’
is a buzzword created by short-sighted
enviro-religionists who want to impose
their belief systems upon the unknowing.
Doesn’t change the specter of having say,
downtown NYC of SFO or the entire country
of Bangladesh underwater. I don’t care.
You don’t care. We both make provisions
for same. But the rest are fucked. I don’t
care about that either. Nor do you. BUT
it will have some ... interesting affects
and perhaps in our life times,ie; Vienna.
It is an intellectual exercise que no?
I live in NEVADA dude. You live in FLORIDA.
Go figure.
