I was reading some of the responses to an article from an American who said that US police would have cracked down much harder on the scum that rioted. Its true and the problem is that UK police are often scared of being prosecuted for cracking the skulls of skells.
There were also a few bed wetters who blamed this on Thatcher. The left still blame any of this garbage on Maggie because “she destroyed the industry” This is utter bullshit. Maggie did put an end to a lot of industries that were already dead thanks to the communists in the unions that had ruined them during the 70’s
What these half-wits over look is the girl in your article who is a prime example. She came all the way from Poland to work at Poundland. The equivalent of the Dollar Store in the US. Yet the bed wetters claim the reason these maggots have been rioting is because they have no work. It’s horse shit. There are plenty of jobs as this girl has shown. The problem is too many of British “yoof” think the world owes them a living.

One of the comments I happen to hear (and hadn’t really thought about) was that the scum actually screwed up jobs for many people who may have been employed in small business.Cos now there are lots who aren’t working due to fire damage and destruction.
Drew had it right the other day when he suggested flame throwers. Something I recall suggesting last year during some demonstration or other. Commie, left wing bastards have really done a job on this place and I don’t know if any politicians in any party have the guts to hit back hard. Maddening.There’s actually a better word to describe these “youths”...and it rhymes with ‘maggots’!
Not sure that “fearing the police” is the answer. Actually, I think it’s the completely wrong answer. The right answer is to instill a sense of honor, honesty, and morality in the populace from the ground up. It’s called good parenting, and that opens another huge can of worms, each of which can be blamed squarely on the left, who have done their best for 40 years to follow the commie playbook to the letter.
The UK is at the very cusp of a Red Revolution. Too bad that once The Workers take over, there won’t be any money left to enact their utopian vision. All that they will be able to put in place is the 3am jackboots of the dark forces in power ... which is exactly what all those other countries that gave communism a go managed to do.
All that being said, it’s long past high time that “soft policing” goes the way of the Dodo. Build a few new gigantic prisons and put the miscreants away for longer. Oooh, I have a great idea! Enact Sharia-like punishment for crimes! Get out the whips, start chopping hands and heads! Blame it on islam!
The only way that a democracy can work is if the citizens themselves are morally enlightened. Truly honest and moral people don’t need any government at all. That’s the REAL aspect that makes America work. For the lawless common muck, only a brutal totalitarian state can keep them in line. That hasn’t changed in 5,000 years.
