  1. I’m almost surprised the bird rescuer didn’t get fined for harassing wildlife.

And the next safety rule will be that fireman can’t get closer than 30m to any actual fire, because it’s dangerous and they could get burned.

Sigh. What a pansy nation it’s become. Well, at least this time it was only a bird, instead of some old guy suffering a heart attack and falling in the pond like last time, and left there to drown as regulations kept the EMS guys from getting their wittle toesie-woesies damp.

  2. I’m sorry but what is the point of rescuing a wild animal? Seagulls habit the water, what am I missing that it had to be rescued and don’t people learn anymore that the sick and injured among the wild animals are a danger to the healthy of the group? That is why they are the first to get killed or die.

I don’t believe in Darwin - but even I understood the survival of the fittest - it is basic genetics/biology 101.

Rush was right - Stupidity is the most expensive failure of liberal societies.

    Wardmom,
In this case however, it was not a sick bird but one caught and weighed down by a plastic bag that was in the process of drowning the poor thing.
That’s a lot different from the scenario you describe. Wouldn’t you agree?
