  1. Awww, they’re so cute! But you’ve got to see this, it may make you feel better: http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/06/a_shrink_asks_whats_wrong_with.html

  2. Whenever I start feeling blue about the news, a quick trip to the range is in order.  A few hot loads, the smell of gunpowder and gun oil, and the world seems so much better. grin

  4. I can guarantee the local animal shelter would absolutely LOVE for you to volunteer, even one hour a week (or month or whatever).  They always need someone to walk dogs and there’s not much better way to feel better about yourself than to do something for someone or something who can’t do it for themselves.  And you can get all the puppy slobbery kisses you want (and more) for free.

  5. Cheer up Drew.  Cameron is phoning Obama later today.  Will he sort Barack out?  I doubt it.  However, we can but hope.

  6. the article cmblake posted was very good - sadly the conclusion is what is even more depressing than the news - that a person as damaged (and in the ways) of Obama won’t learn from his mistakes.

I guess We The People really need to pray for Obama - Psalm 109:8 - ‘Let his days be few; Let another take his office.’

We went to the SPCA - nice here, even if I wouldn’t drive through the area it’s in with my windows opened. Not many animals (the stray dog cages were overflowing - the puppies, kitties and for adoption cats and dogs - not so much). We just go to visit every now and then. Not looking at this time.

Maybe when I get a minute to myself - I will consider volunteering - I’m way past taking them all home these days (although going to Best Friends online (can be seen on tv as Dogtown) - I do so want to go to Utah and bring some of them home.

Speaking of needing cheer - We offed the first groundhog of the season - eating our lettuce and broccoli - and he was a fighter - it took close to 7 minutes to send him to that big corn patch in the sky.

I am about ready to torch our back 40 and pour kerosene down any holes I find - this is War!

Speaking of depressing news - Did you hear about the idiot Senator that said ‘paying taxes is completely voluntary in the US’ - talk about brain cells not functioning. Gee if I could only get another 11,999,999 of my friends & neighbors to join up with me next April 15th - We The People would 1) see exactly how voluntary it is and 2) see how damn well the government can track down and prosecute 12 million criminals.

Oh and it’s raining (again) - might as well go exercise - I’m in a bad mood already.

  7. I’m quite concerned.

The only reason to put so many puppies in a bag is to throw them into the river…

Can you say Cruella de Vil?

    (shudder)

  8. Maybe they were in a bag to rescue them from evil animal testing, where the sadists in charge select the torture victims solely on their adorability factor.

Back in college, one of my housemates was the concierge for the local Hotel De Ville. Sometimes she’d get tired of the wiseass remarks and just answer the phone ”Hotel de Ville, Cruella speaking” and head them off at the pass. I guess that worked out for her, as she is now a controller for Marriot, whatever that is.
