  1. Should’ve killed him.  The thug-bastard tried to kill the homeowner.  The beating is a good thing, but a bullet in the head would’ve been bettet.  Now we’ll have the pay for his hospital bill.

The little shit will probably make bail and sue the homeowner.

  2. When police arrived, they found the unconscious burglar in a pool of blood on the hallway floor.

    Sweeter words were never spoken.

    clap

  3. Peiper I agree with you, but killing someone in hot or cold blood I would imagine is easier said than done. The good news is this happened in the US. In Britain the scumbag would have been feted by lawyers eager to sue the homeowner for assaulting the burglar! A good result though and hopefully he will think twice before breaking into someones home. I still think these dirtbags should have “Thief” tatooed on their forehead for easier identification!

  4. Yep, absolute shame he wasn’t still in good enough shape to try to escape. Ahem.

  5. The first homeowner did the smart thing – stay out of the home that appears to have been broken into and call the cops, and for exactly the reason that the second homeowner experienced. Good thing the thug was a bad shot, but with a lucky shot and we would have a dead homeowner and an at-large murderer. Also, the guns should have been secured when the homeowners were away.

Of course, this is why you should carry a piece with you when you are away; when the burglar tries to escape, you plug him. And take Krav Maga (http://www.kravmagaseattle.com) to learn how to disarm an opponent and batter the p.o.s. like this McKinney fellow did, but with panache!

  6. The Krav Maga thing very much is of interest. Too bad there isn’t a school within 100 miles of me.

  8. Krav is great stuff; been at it over 7 years here in Seattle.

Stay away from the LA-based group and their “certified” trainers, as they have gone all commercial and are no longer connected to the Israeli-based International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF) that we are affiliated with. The LA folks are way out of date.

cmblake6, e-mail me and maybe I can run down some resources for you.
