  1. Nice.

    I’m used to seeing this one Glen Canyon which used to be the 4th highest, at 700 foot above the river.  Guess it’s fallen back to fifth place now.

  3. Cool Huh. I was there back in 96 as part of a 5 day party with 4 freinds and day 2 saw us head for the dam from vegas. If you never been to the dam there is no way to describe how awesome the view is looking down the valley from right in the middle of the dam on the road level. I imagine the bridge kinda impairs the view now but that is still one cool structure. Definetly not a bridge to nowhere project.

  4. Okay, post #1 is an example of why you should always “check your work”.

    Try this one.

  5. Am I the only one who thinks this desecrates the once-beautiful Hoover Dam? And yes, I realize that many once felt that way about the Golden Gate Bridge, too. Guess I’m just an old fuddy-duddy.

  6. Fun Facts;
    Took longer to build Bridge(8 years) than it took to build Dam (5 years).
    6 folks died building dam, None on bridge.
    49 million for dam,740 million for bridge( non adjusted). Happy Christopher,lol

    By the twenty-first century the dam was regarded ambivalently, sustaining environmentalists’ criticism that it in fact damaged or destroyed an ecosystem.

    BOO flippin HOO Greenies
