1. Reader A.K. writes me from Toronto to say that

   You mentioned kids don’t know about Bing Crosby.... I do sometimes hear one or two of his Christmas offerings at this time in stores, but anyway.... let me mention a very good CD:

   A Merry Christmas with Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters [ Drew: only $6.99 at Amazon! ]

   my granddaughter has particularly enjoyed a tune by the A.S. entitled The Christmas Tree Angel.  It’s kinda sad that this is not better known.  A lovely little song.

2. Ah! No. The ‘kids’ in question are grown, married, have children of their own. They also have library cards. We no longer buy movies, we just check them out from the library.
