Do These People Actually Have A Life?
I tried being a vegetarian for humanitarian(rhyme NOT intended grin* reasons but I couldn’t do it. my body craved meat.
While I agree with PETA that animals tend to be mistreated before they die, I think they go too far.
I say a prayer for the animal that gave it’s life for me-and I refuse to eat Veal and Lamb for ethical reasons(I don’t eat mistreated babies)And of course I won’t eat sharks-or fresh lobster/crab
It’s MY decision and it’s one I’m not expecting everyone else to follow(except for Mike)
Sorry, but a fish-no matter how cute it might be-is not the same as my cats(or the rats of “ratapalooza")
I pray that every fish that’s caught is not forced to suffer and I thank the fish for its sacrifice for me.
Now-please pass the tartar sauce

Turkeys are living, feeling beings. They express happiness or fear, experience pain or pleasure and they just want to be loved, like anyone else. Turkeys like to have their feathers stroked and make soft cooing sounds when you pet them.

Steel has it right. Humans are omnivores, that’s why our teeth are specialized.
Genetics are a bitch.
The human can eat any mammal (except the liver of a polar bear which has dangerous levels of viamine “A"), and pretty much any other vertabret. Check out http://www.carnivegan.com for a laugh.
We can and do because we are supposed to.
Even if fish, turkeys, puppies, etc. have feelings, they also have a purpose. No purpose = extinction.
I.E. Save the elephants, allow Americans to go to your country, pay $50K for a safari hunt, let landowners create safari parks - instant elephant boom.
Side Note: I’m on Atkins and had the best steak for brunch (10AM morning break) - cheap chuck roast maranaded in worchester sauce, all-spice, tenderizer, and a shot of apple korn schnapps -then grilled. Fell apart in my mouth even after being nuked.
