  1. Apparently the DNC feels the state will go Republican and could care less about them.

  2. if this holds why would there be any reason for Democrats to do anything other then switch parties and vote in the republican primary or not at all for the primary. no use voting in the democratic primary since apparently it wont mean didley-squat.. thats if the RNC doesnt go and pull the same stunt..

  3. I think both parties should back the F out. Choosing when the primary day is is the State’s business, not theirs.

However, I think every state should get together and decide to all hold their primaries on the same day. Mutual decision, not have Day X decided by the feds. Think of the money it would save. Think of the zillions of campaign ads you wouldn’t have to hear. Think how many people would feel some sort of comeuppance against New Hampshire and Iowa, no longer having to be led around by the nose by two states nobody else ever hears a peep out of except at primary time.

I think open primaries is a really bad idea. If you want to have some say in one of the party’s candidate selection, then join that party when you register to vote. You want to have some say in all the parties? Nice try. The best you’ll get is voting on election day. You can vote for my team’s guy or not, but if you aren’t part of the team you ain’t go no say in who we choose.

  4. yeah I’m kind of of the same opinion.. I can see need for primaries(hard for 1 person to get a majority with so many people on 1 ballot.. although there could be a runoff system instead.. maybe decide to do it like this… have the primary election from 4pm friday to 6pm Saturday, and same with general..no early voting booths, either vote between those hours or Absentee ballot if not able to.. have the primary date decided on in a closed meeting of the governors, and date is only annouced 45 days before the primary date(although this would probaly be pretty hard to keep secret unless there were strong penalties..)

  5. Here I thought that this was a way to get Al Bore the nod again. Silly me. Yes it does seem as the single day would end all this junk. Actually, if the Dems are for something - especially the DNC - I automatically think voter fraud, election manipulation and cheat to win. So I am against it.

I hope that the FLA Dems do vote for Rep (best), Indy (better) or not at all (advantageous in it’s own way) - which can only lead to a Rep win in 2008.

These people really are rushing to edge of sanity, rationality and reality - no matter what, they don’t seem to care only just get another vote - win another election. And they can’t see how the Internet is showing them for the base, shallow and two faced people they really are.

I really believe that they are in for a rude surprise - as I do not even think a loss will wake them up - they will just scream voter fraud, intimidation, and cheating - which they should know about since that is all they do.

  6. The larger point here is one that I really doubt the MSM will discuss.  The Democrats, aka Liberals, aka Progressives, are not about either democracy or liberalism.  They are the Neofascists.  It’s all about power and control with no regard for dissent or the democratic process.  Don’t forget the basic fascist creed:  What isn’t forbidden is mandatory.

A political party can be considered a large lobbying organization.  While they are an integral part of our government structure, the government stands separately, by itself.  How dare they dictate anything to any state entity.  Can you imagine the outcry if a lobbyist (any kind tried anything similar?
