Disorder In The Court

  1. In this news report, Nifong’s attorney says “He feels as a result of the accusations against him that he would be a distraction and he wants to make sure the accuser receives a fair trial,” said Freedman, who said Nifong met with the accuser this week to tell her of his decision.

Since when does the accuser get a fair trial?  I thought the accused was suppose to get the fair trial?  After all, it’s the accused who is on trial, not the accuser...although she should be.

  2. BobF, man what America are you living in? This is the ‘new direction dnc’America -where rich white boys are automatically guilty and poor black stripper wimin’ whose got (how many?!?) kids out of wedlock workin’ at the only job she can git ‘cause she dropped out of school to have that first bastard spawn, is right ‘cuz she got her GED (while takin’ care of her illegetimate spawn) and is just tryin’ to make a better life for herselfs. Shes to be admired (and believed).

Yeah, right. I still say those young men ought to sue Nifong, the stripper and Duke for ruining their lives.

  3. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a movie of the week made about this stripper, portraying her as a hard working honors student battling the racism of the spoiled white rich kids.

As for those boys, what on earth possessed them to hire a stripper when they could have had their choice of any of the nice respectable female students at Duke?

  4. OK, I’ve got to point out the obvious.  Yes, racial, social and gender bigotry do appear to be at work here.  In this case however, the assumption is that the supposedly rich, privileged, white male is automatically guilty.  This assumption is demonstrated by the letter from the Duke faculty and various statements by James Nifong.

I’d really like to know, what was the discussion among the faculty as more and more evidence that the Lacrosse players just might be innocent came to light?  As the son of an academic, I’m familiar with the ego structure of academics.  I’m willing to bet that many are still justifying their position on some obscure philosophical grounds or careful (Clintonesgue) parsing of their exact words.  Bullshit.  Anyone from the Duke faculty or staff care to comment here?  Tell me, am I right or wrong.

How in our PC world have we forgotten that equal means equal?

  5. Hmmm, channeling Duke lacrosse team members:

    #1 Would you do her?
#2 I wouldn’t do her with your dick.
    #1-35 HAHAHAHAHAHA.
    #1 She’s pretty nasty…
#3 Nasty doesn’t even begin to describe her.
    #4 Gimme another beer.

  6. I have heard some of the things that (thanks msm, biased NOT) happened at Duke in the hours/days that followed - activists rallying, that 88 ad, speeches, posters [castrate them, expell them, confess], the flunking of a lacrosse team member (who has filed a lawsuit) by one of those lunatic left academics, the firing of the coach and ending of the lacrosse season, or my fav, the Black Panther group who threatened to go into the dorms and ‘beat out confessions’ - and wonder how anyone with a right mind can let these things happen. And of course, like Ms accusor, DA Nifong and even Duke itself - not a single person who came down on the rich, white guys guilty side will apologise for a single wrong word, statement or even believing in the guilty until proven innocent stance.

It will be the destruction of our justice system - how ‘bout we go to Iran’s where a teenager was sentenced to stoning for stabbing a man (of 3) who was attempting to rape her? Or Saddam’s throwing people off a roof, cutting off the hands of thiefs (but having to brand veterans of the Iran war who lost a hand, so that people knew the diff)or killing a whole town for an assassination attempt? That people is where we are headed, if we don’t make our Special Prosecutors (who know in the first days no law was broken) and our DAs (who did not even bother to talk with the accused, but gave 90 interviews on their guilt to the media) are not held accountable for their misuse of power and abuse of the legal system.

BTW, Rush made an interesting point re Duke. Because the student is paying for an education and because of their ages (still considered dependents in most cases) - the Uni or college is a parent in abstenia and as such should protect them and keep them safe from harrassment and threats to their lives, well being and safety. Duke should be blackballed from any new students applying there until they RIGHT THIS WRONG. Hopefully, most athlets will get the real message - Duke will throw you under the bus if anyone accuses you of anything - most especially if you are white.
