Did You See This On The News??

 

1. The terrorists in Iraq are not comparable in the slightest way to our forefathers in this country (United States, for all our foreign readers) who fought and died for our independence from Britain.

   This is mostly because the rebellious folk who fought for independence from Britain did not specifically target innocent civilians. 

   Iraqis, in general, are decent folk, it seems.  I pray every day that God will grant them a stable democratic society in which to live. 

   “The adminstration” knew this going in.  In Iraq, there is a sizeable Christian minority that in fact plays a role in the general attitude held toward democracy in that country. 

   Once things settle down over there, the oil will start flowing which will mean cheaper gas for us and a better standard of living for them, and we will have a foothold in that region.  A huge pool to recruit arabic-speaking operatives to work for CIA (I am not kidding). 

   Thank God we are fighting the bad guys over there at a time and place of our choosing - not here at home.

2. I highly doubt the gas prices will ever fall. Not while the oil companies are in control.
