  1. Dear Mrs. Peiper:
Please allow me to teach your husband a new work which isn’t so bad when he needs to cuss. ”Frak."

    Thank you for your patience.

  2. So should we look into the families of the British reporters???
Maybe we could prosecute their Dads and Grandads for flying
those Lancaster bombers over Berlin or the German V-2 rockets bases
    and revenge-bombing THEM?????

  3. Hey don’t you just love it - the mooslimes can whine about the Crusades and ‘foreign’ control of the ME (not to mention the Jews ‘taking over’ land that is Arab land) - to justify their jihad and perpetual state of pissiness - but America was seeking ‘revenge’ for an attack 2 years earlier that was an act of War - during a War - and it is seen as wrong?

That is what I hate about the fiberals - the justified (i.e. America) is always wrong and the perpetual victims (entirely their fault) are always given a pass and through verbal contortions are right.

  4. You mean there is stuff left for them to dive on?  Hell, we didn’t break it up enough. How much is left from Hiroshima and Nagasaki?  That was when this nation knew how to make war for real. It’s ugly. It is to be avoided at almost - note the word ALMOST - all costs. But when you make war, you break the others folks stuff and you kill their people. All of them, or at least until the leaders that are left say “Hell, we don’t WANT any more of this war shit”.
And that, little girls, is why we should turn mecca and medina into glowing (or even not glowing, we have to get rid of some conventional stuff too - getting old...) ash heaps, until the folks that be say “Maybe we should leave them alone - they CRAZY, man...”

  5. During the “island-hopping” counterattacks of the War in the Pacific, the naval base at Chuuk was a major obstacle.  The Japanese began building in 1924, and by the time of the war, the installations inside the coral ring were phenomenal.

Think “Pearl Harbor” in scope and capability, with a much superior protected anchorage.

Whole islands with gutter systems to control the torrential rains, reinforced fish-unloading and processing plants to keep food coming in, and mountains hollowed out for large gun emplacements and barracks. It is an extraordinary effort and well worth seeing.

Attacking it as we did Kwajalein or Eniwetok would have been just about like the Japanese launching an invasion at Pearl Harbor.  The attacker might have won, but at huge expense.

So, we simply bombed the living snot out of the place and cut it off from resupply and reinforcement.  Until the end of the war.

When I was there, there were still natives with identifying tattoos who had been used as slave labor.  Their tales of cruelty and even cannibalism near the end of the war are horrifying.

Today, Japanese tourists receive a cool reception, and are astonished that there are no burial sites for the dead military occupiers.  This is because the dead were unceremoniously dumped in the ocean.

There is a lot to see, as the entire lagoon is designated a park, and even snorkelers can visit the shipwrecks in the beautiful, clear water.

I don’t recommend the San Francisco maru, though.  That was an ammunition ship, I believe.  Way too dangerous.

  6. Yes , this is a good way to sort the wheat from the chaff (chavs??) you are absolutely correct, it was war and as such it was correct. I remember when our leader had balls (funny that a woman having more balls than the so called men who strive to follow!) the Tory government were taking heat for sinking the battleship Belgrano with nearly all hands, the labour and liberal rabble were joining in and who pops up to support Mrs T but theArgie Admiral who was incharge of the ship, he confirmed it was, in war the absolutely correct action. Funny the lefty acolytes are quiet about Russian inhuman atrocities in Georgia!
Anglo=saxon expletives are also correct when dealing with assholes who will not understand a modern language.
