  1. They can have my blog when they pry my keyboard from my cold dead hands!

    Damned fascist-bolsheviks!

  2. Hmmmm.
I wonder if this will come to a screeching halt when they realize it will impact moron.org errr.... moveon.org.

  3. It can no longer be doubted by anyone of any intelligence, but the Democratic Party should be renamed to reflect it’s real character - Democratic-Socialist Party - American Communist branch.

  4. It’s just as I’ve always said. When it comes to debate, a liberal would much rather just shut a conservative down than try to prove them wrong. I’ve seen it time and time again, especially from the left-wing blogs that I’ve been banned from without warning or notice. What really gets me is when these same leftists immediately turn around and try to tout free speech rights (for themselves only). It’s modern day Communist propoganda in action.

  5. I don’t like it that it costs a fortune to run for political office. Radically downsizing government would almost solve the problem—make the prize worth much less. Other than that, I do not see how we can stop people from spending their own money on candidates they support without stomping on The Bill of Rights. Requiring candidates to list their donors is a tiny, but correct, step.

Remember, as we slog thru this Campaign Finance Reform swamp, whenever someone says, “There oughta be a law!”, there probably shouldn’t.

  6. OCM: That’s because the prize of spending $Trillions of Other Peoples’ Money is worth it. When my neighbor ran for a seat on the local telephone co-op, his campaign consisted of calling and asking us to vote for him.  We did—otherwise I wouldn’t have cared.

  7. Let’s see..... Khadaffy Duck jails blogger.  Dummykraps want to stifle bloggers’ freedom of speech.  Islamofascist thug gangs trash France, and the MSM totally ignores this so that they can have morew time to endlessly trash the President, and conservatives in general. The NY Slimes, the Washington Compost, and the MainScream media lie, both by commission and by omission.

Can one detect a certain pattern here?!?!?

  8. That and the influence that officially isn’t directly being peddled. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge.) Why else would people spend millions of dollars to get a job that pays much less than is being invested in the election to that office?

I’m all in favor of everyone and anyone voicing their opinions on the web. My one caveat is that if they’re being sponsored or otherwise being paid (consultancy fees and such) that they announce that fact at the top of their main page. Some were not willing to declare those connections last election. I’m wondering what they were hiding.

I still chuckle when I think of some of us getting local pols to pull their ads from Kos. LOL

  9. Prison bloggers? I AM beginning to see a pattern here! (Maybe that’s why OCM’s computer “desk” flips over at the push of a button?) banghead

  10. And by the way, OCM, to answer your earlier post: I can and do admit when I’m wrong. You can go see my friend Tom’s blog for proof of that.
