Yeah, ONE good thing about the ‘charlie-foxtrot’ in N’Awlins - Mayor Witless of Houston wasn’t caught with his pants down - there were problems here, sure - but I thought, on the whole, folks handled {and CONTINUE to handle} themselves with aplomb and dignity ...................... we’ve been without power or water since 0200 Saturday ...................... my husband went & bought a generator, so WE have A/C, TV, refrigeration {we cook on gas}, phone and ‘Net access .................... just a side note - on Sunday, I was in line for gas, about 3/10 mile from the pumps - there was a pickup in front of me with 2 young ladies - the car in front of THEM was an older couple with a little dog - the passenger of the young ladies got out of the truck, walked up to the car, and gave the car’s passenger her bottle of water, for the dog ................ when she climbed back into the truck, I honked and gave them both a ‘thumbs up’ ........................
Bu bu but that was for the party. They’d never consider using them for a non partisan function like getting people out of town in an evacuation. No votes there.
Sheesh, what kind of drugs are you on?

How does a political party get to use city assets to help their candidate? If the Dems plead altruism (civic duty to assist voters, blah blah), then why didn’t they send buses to all areas of New Orleans, including Republican strongholds, if there is such a thing? The DNC reimbursed the city? Oh, I see. Sure.
Dems are scumbags, all of ‘em, until they prove different.
Right, Dick, and decent Dems like Zel Miller are distressingly few in number (and getting fewer all the while).
Democrats and Busing, it’s such a beautiful thing… s that they are.
