  1. Welcome to my world Drew - been a huge ? mark since Nov 13, 2001 - and we still have little clues (thank you very much NOT liberals in the Klownposse in DC for taking away parental rights). There are so many variables and if the girls gave no outward clues (like us) - until they heal enough to face the demons head on - the parents may never know.

And always remember Drew - if we knew all the symptoms, warning signs and the schools staff/admin were not in an adversarial stance against parents - these situations could be prevented. But then again, they are teenagers who believe every positive is deserved and every negative will ruin their lives forever.

And there-in lies the problem - what adults see as minor - the teens usually see as the worst that can happen. My son’s attitude has been re-adjusted (just not quite enough for full recovery) - Pray that these girls realize that there are much more worse things than High School.

  5. Welcome to the world of Obama.

Seriously, the crap that is fed to these kids in the schools would make me suicide. Global warming, racism, end-of-the-world scenarios, etc. Feed them full of negativity and what else do you expect?

I’ve got it on reliable sources (my wife, and her youngest son) that the fact that I, as a step-father, took an active interest in my step-son’s education scotched such a suicidal attempt.

I did what I could to counter the political propaganda disguised as an educational curriculum. I tutored my step-son through Math and English. I gave him homework that the English teacher wouldn’t give. Seriously, she called me after a parent-teacher conference and told me that homework was ‘racist’.

Guess so, the English teacher was black, and spoke Ebonics.

Result? My step-son is the only member of his family to ever graduate high school. (I didn’t mention that I also tutored my wife through her GED… which pissed-off her GED teacher! But that’s another story.)

While that’s great, I don’t think it’s all that big a deal. I had fairly close contact with his teachers, and all I can say is: How did THEY ever graduate high school? In my view, all of his teachers were semi-literate. None of them could understand, much less fill out, a 1040 tax return. Teachers sucked in the early 90’s. I’ve no info that the teacher pool has improved since then.
