Death Penalty

 

1. Being that I was a 5th grader, I was focused onthe fact that my parents were gleeful over RR’s recent election to the presidency.
   My parents-being “war babies” 1942& 1944 respectivly- never got into the 60’s thing. Lennon’s murder didn’t even register on their radar.
   As for me, I see Lennon as a talented uber-moonbat who didn’t deserve to have his life cut short like that. Let Chapman rot in Jail.

2. I was in a Navy training school, but I couldn’t help but think… ‘Bad aim. Yoko was right next to him.’

5. I had just arrived in England for a tour of duty at RAF Fairford.  You’d think that Jesus Himself had been shot the way the Brit press covered it, and covered it, and covered it, and covered it, and covered it, and covered it.

   (Yep, still have power but the trees are doing the mambo, the cha-cha, the limbo, and a bit of the can-can (all at once) outside.  I expect it to go before 1 PM)

7. I don’t understand how any murderer serving a life sentence can be eligible for parole.  If parole is a possibility then it’s not really a life sentence is it?

   So much for truth in sentencing.

8. I see hypocrisy in one Finn’s response...he calls for Chapman’s execution...and here I am thinking most European countries have abolished the Death Penalty.
   I also see hypocrisy in many Beatles fan reactions too...if they were all “All You Need Is Love” with their attitudes, wouldn’t they be letting him live the rest of his life in obscurity which Chapman most asssuredly deserves once he repays his debt to society?

   NO. These are the same people who call Bush a chimp...want to tax the shit out of us...and use government as the be-all end-all giant tit solution to all our problems!
