  1. tact (tkt)
    NOUN:

Acute sensitivity to what is proper and appropriate in dealing with others, including the ability to speak or act without offending millions of crazy and already pissed-off people.

  2. I LOVE IT!! Fire away. Just think,we could tell all antinukes that we’re going to lower the number of nuclear weapons in stock. They will love that.

  3. Every time I see a pic of that thing I get a chill, realizing that little warhead package can annihilate eight or ten cities more thoroughly than thousands of the thousand-plane raids of WW2.

As for tact, yeah we might want to back off on outright religious bigotry and insults, but I do wish we would declare a mosque defiled and level it as soon as our troops are attacked from one.  If the Faithful truly revere their holy places, then perhaps some bad experiences along those lines might give the jihadis or the genuinely faithful second thoughts about jihadis using them for armories and bunkers.

If instead the activity persists, then we have as an enemy not only the jihadis, but Islam, and we’d better think about targeting like the picture suggests.

  4. I agree that you get delared no-a-religious-institution if you foment and plan violence there.  I think and hope that some moderate Moslems are starting to find a voice and courage—it takes courage to speak against these fanatics. It doesn’t help them be convincing when their audience sees this picture.

  5. Jeez I hope so too, Oink, but their silence so far in the US is deafening.  The decent Iraqis who are in immediate peril for opposing the jihadis have been more outspoken and way braver than American Muslims in condemning the jihadis.

  6. Oink: Let me remind you of a scene in a movie. In “Lethal Weapon” when Mel Gibson and Danny Glover have their first confrontation and Gibson shoves a gun in his mouth and starts to pull the trigger to prove he’s crazy. Sometimes you just have to let the other guy know you’re just as f**king crazy as he is, if necessary.

In today’s world, the radical Muslims and the radical Leftists in this country are getting away with too much bullshit. It’s time we convinced them both that when you get down to brass tacks the rest of us can act just as crazy as them if that’s what it takes to convince them their actions are irrational.

Further example (if you’ve ever raised children): if your child starts throwing a temper tantrum, sometimes the best thing to do is imitate their tantrum. That usually confuses them as they think they’re the only ones entitled to have tantrums and to see you imitate their dumbass behavior scares the piss out of them. I know. It worked on my kids. It’s called the old “holding up a mirror to bad behavior” trick.

    soapbox

  8. My first reaction to Pres. Bush calling Islam a “religion of peace” was similar to everyone elses: BULLshit ! The facts are: Moslems have been sucking hind tit for 700 years & a list of Moslem-run countries is a tour of the asshole of the world.

It’s true that “Religious Wars” are never about religion. Just like Northern Ireland, it’s about MONEY & POWER, not transubstantiation vs. consubstantiation. It’s about culture, not race or religion.

Who of us would object to a neighbor who 1. worships One God 2. doesn’t drink 3. has a strong moral code 4. raises his kids under strict behaviour rules?  What the Pres. would probably liked to have said was, “We got no bitch with your religion, but your culture has entirely too many crazed, murdering MF-ers.  It’s your job to distance your religion from them—do it soon, because we’re going to help you by killing every one of them.”
“You might also want to look into why the culture associated with your religion is a malodorous pile of shit ,,,,” P.S. We’ve decided to stop arming the worst of them, like we did in Afghanistan. And we’re gonna stop sucking up to them for their oil, say like Saudi Arabia.

I’m going to be grateful until I die to the Marines who, when their position was being over-run, called in artillery and napalm on their own heads.  That stuff really makes the enemy stop and think.  There is a time to be crazy, but more often a time to make your message to your enemy clear, lucid, and rational—an offer you just can’t refuse.

  9. Doesn’t anyone realize that we’re already in a religious war?  Only this one will target Wiccans, atheists, Hindus, Buddhists, etc as well.

We’re engaged in a fight to the death against Islamofascists whose co-religionists choose, for whatever reasons, to remain silently supportive of their violent breathern.

It’s going to happen, perhaps sooner, perhaps later.  But, it will happen.

  10. OCM: Ever heard of “Voice of the Faithful”? Sorry, Pal, the outrage is loud and clear and sustained.  And the Bishops are listening—they’d better.  Many of us told them that we were disturbed to find that the local whorehouse was run more honorably, honestly and decently that the Diocesan Office. Not a good example.

Anyone take note of the small number of little girls abused?

  11. Personally I think they should have painted “Tehran or bust” It strikes me that Iran should be the first target. When are the powers that be going to wake up and get serious with these loons? I am fearful that Iran will develop sufficient weapons grade material to construct a number of small devices. Maybe they will be happy just to blackmail us, but I doubt it. I think they have enough crazies there who want to demonstrate the bomb to the “infidel”. It baffles me that we seem to have no stomach for taking these clowns out before it’s too late. Major Mike is spot on, we are at war with these people.

Oink I agree that many wars of religion are really just a cover for gangsters who want money and power. Though there are similarities in the troubles in Ireland, compared to the problems we face with Islamofascists. There are also some major differences. The gangsters in Northern Ireland could be reasoned with up to a point. The mooslim fascists aren’t interested in jaw jaw as Churchill put it. What they want is war war and I don’t think you can reason with madmen.

  12. Agreed OCM. Churchill was far from perfect and would have trouble fitting in to our pc modern world but he had bucket loads of common sense. One thing he wrote in the 30’s regarding the fascist appeasers of his day rings true today…

“The worst difficulties from which we suffer do not come from without. They come from a peculiar type of brainy people always found in our country, who, if they add something to it’s culture, take much from its strength. Our difficulties come from the mood of unwarrantable self-abasement into which we have been cast by a powerful section of our own intellectuals”

I think the people Winnie was referring to are what we would call “moonbats”
