  1. Anyone else notice the similarity of the M.O.s at work here?

    1.  ARAB terrorists!!
    2.  Innocent hostages
    3.  Poor SWAT force execution
    4.  The Surrender Monkey Krauts gave in to terrorists by freeing the captured members when an airplane was hijacked later

The Euro-weenie surrender monkeys still have not learned their lessons (with the exception of the Russians and the Israelis---assuming you consider them part of a greater Europe.)

  2. Well lets be fair Vilmar back then SWAT was a fairly new toy and still evolving. The Krauts were not the cutting edge of that concept and besides they were just Judan. (yea I know thats not PC but there’s a lot of truth to it).

About the same time I remember a highjacking that stopped in Orlando en route to Havana. The FBI SWAT response was to try to shoot the tires out on the take off run with Thompsons so they could keep it on the ground. Unsuccessfully I might add. It was a hell of a sight to watch though.

The LAPD SWAT team , possibly the best in the world at that time, had burned down more buildings than it had rescued hostages. Ooops..

For a lot of LEO’s that was a wake up call that things on the job were changing. Sad truth is that most countries have the cabapility now, it’s the will to use it that is lacking.

Other than that I’d say you pretty much got the rest of the points coverd.
