Cure for the Obama hangover?

 

1. OK now.  Obama was supposed to prepare a magnificent economic stimulus bill.  We were all going to get back to work, pay off our mortgages and live fat, dumb and happy lives.  We were all supposed to stand up and cheer at the wonderfulness of it.  The Senate passed a modified version with some adjustments.  Immediately, the stock market dropped nearly 5%. 

   You’d think that any bill that would truly stimulate the economy would be beloved of Wall Street.  Any time there’s money moving around, they get a slice of it.  Then, maybe it’s a question of stimulus to our manufacturing or transportation sectors.  No again.  When the stock market drops that much, that means that investors do not have faith in the future of American companies.  The same companies that should have been helped by the bill. 

   The big money boys have voted.  The bailout’s a turkey. 

   Now if the guys who stand to make the most from the bailout and who are pretty well versed in economics in their own right don’t like what it’s going to do, do you think our politicians might notice?  Anyone think that there just might be something seriously wrong with the approach?  With the allocation of money?  I don’t care if it’s socialism, pointillism or hurahism.  If it doesn’t work, we need something else.

   If this thing really makes it through, we will have hit an all time low of dumb.  The followers of Barak the Great won’t listen to any sort of rational argument.  Perhaps the moderates will start to realize what is happening, but it’s too late.  The election is over.  The best we can hope for is that Obama will get jammed and dumped from office in 4 years, just like Jimmy Carter.  I remember Carter.  It was a miserable time With poor leadership, inflation and unemployment.  Besides, the moderates won’t want to admit they voted for him.  Denial isn’t just for drug addicts and alcoholics.

   Anyone who thinks I haven’t poured enough vitriol on Obama and the Senate, please, add more.

   ??? You don’t believe the ‘wizards of smart’?

   Oh, wait, these are the same ‘wizards of smart’ who couldn’t pay their own income taxes.

   Did I say ‘couldn’t’? I meant ‘wouldn’t’. They knew… they were being their usual ‘unpatriotic’ selves as VP Joe bin Biden would say.

   Hey, how about we all refuse to pay our income taxes? I expect the same treatment from the IRS they’ve given Geithner, Daschle, etc. I’ll apologize and just pay the back amount. No interest, no penalties.

3. Bank Bailout.....Stimulus......What’s the difference, the taxpayers still have to pay.  The only difference I see is that we had a republican president when the bailout for wall street went through, and now it hopefully looks like some of the money may actually make it to help the homeowners.  And the stimulus which is aimed at putting people to work will go through with a democrat president.  Best investment to be had may be for parts to the machine that is printing out new currency for the US.

   There is so much petty, convoluted Politico doublespeak and pure and simple graft paybacks - We The People aren’t going to see a fri**** penny but we will be paying for it for the rest of our lives. You are completely fooling yourself if you think that any citizen of normal, average life is going to see a plug nickel at all. EVER.

   My only hope is that We The People wake up and continually call/fax/email/write our Congresscritters (aka CrapWeasels) (*cough* *cough*) and let them know how disgusted We The People are with this wholesale sellout to pandering for votes, paybacks and Governmental intrusion into every single aspect of our lives.
