  1. And don’t forget people like the 3/4 (son is a special issue, not really looking into anything right now. content to live on his disability and our love) of us - who NEVER qualified for unemployment - so therefore have never been listed as unemployed - nor listed on any of their vaulted lists (well, my hubby is on one, a VA list as not being hired). And if you think about it - there has to be many, many people like us - COMPLETELY UNDER THE GOV RADAR.

But unlike many - we will survive. We’ve made it this far - and still haven’t thrown anything overboard. . .yet.

  2. more details if you want them, but my take is still correct. This only looks good because the workforce is shrinking. Plug in the 12/09 workforce and unemployment shoots up to over 11%. And the unadjusted U-6 is 16.2%, which only falls to the mid-15s if you take the shrinking workforce numbers into consideration.

The real tell is right here:

“The employment/population ratio has averaged 58.4 since December 2009, meaning there has essentially been no real progress on employment in two years’ time. … In other words, we are not growing fast enough to reduce the so-called output gap/labor market slack.”

Obama is a crippled duck swimming upstream, paddling madly (spending billions) but not making any progress whatsoever.
