Cruel & Unusual Punishment

  1. Looks to me like the lunatics run the asylum in California. They must be taking a leaf out of the British judiciary’s handbook. Hanging, drawing and quartering sounds ike the kind of treatment he should be receiving. OCM’s got the right approach. A good belt with a sledgehammer should put out his lights then give him the needle.

  2. The victim’s family should just put out a jailhouse hit on this shit .

Posted by rudebadger    United States   02/24/2006  at  11:04 AM

  3. This is maddneing. As typical, some idiot judge intervenes with a judgement having NO basis in law. Why didn’t he mandate a priest concur? Take this ass off the bench.

The Romans had it right - crucify the POS.

Posted by markmc    United States   02/24/2006  at  11:25 AM

  4. Another example of where the criminal has been given more rights than the victim.

I have talked to a couple of Doctor friends about this, one said he would have no problem making sure the person(murderer) were unconscious, if THEN , once assured,he could turn heel and walk back out, not being present for the execution-( he felt his Hypocratic Oath would NOT be in violation at that point), BUT,he went on to explain- the state medical board would certainly sanction him,his peers would condemn him and he felt he would lose his ability to practice medicine. In this case, the state has directed that a Dr be PRESENT all during the process, which my Dr friend does certainly feel would violate his Hypocratic Oath. The other friend I discussed this with said absolutely NO way he would be involved in it , in any way at all, for administering an agent to render the murderer unconscious would be aiding the final outcome.

Where is the VICTIM in all of this??  Forgotten.

  5. I still say animals like this guy should be subjected to “scientific experiments”. The more painful and extended, the better.

But the Skipper’s scenario is a close second.

  6. Hey! I didn’t open any tags! Why is my drivel underlined? Well, I’ll just add one.

hopefully, this WON’T be, if it is i will be big surprise eyed.

  8. Sounds like a waste of a good fence post and awfully messy AND way too time consuming; after all, time is money. I think that Cheaper-Than-Dirt will sell .40 Federal HydraShok for about $0.85/per round (http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/68255-6658-183.html). They MIGHT even offer a further discount if you could convince them that it was for the public good.

In the mean time, screw Mr. Morales. May his brain rot from syphillus.

  9. EroticDoll: Your post #5 had an open underline without a close. It wasn’t a quirk and yes, you will be bug-eyed if you do it again. You will have to wear the “DIP SHIT” avatar for an entire week as punishment.

  10. Yeah and these same ‘sanctimonious’ MDs probably don’t voice their protest over abortion and/or perform them as a ‘medical’ procedure. These MDs, especially in CA are picking and choosing their ‘causes’ and beliefs. That is not their right to violate their belief in one instance but not in another - I call it hypocrisy and forcing one’s belief onto a completely unrelated issue.

The problem I have with this situation is that the anti-death penalty group is actually nullifying the jury/judge and legal system by their antics. If you don’t agree with the death penalty - get it VOTED DOWN. [Oh, wait, it was done in 1972 and guess what - it didn’t STICK]. By all these bogus nullifications of duly handed down death sentences - these wackos are saying judges, juries, lawyers and in essence the LAW are not worth a damn, valid, worth defending, following, believing in and adhereing to. That is ANARCHY and leads to chaos.

I heard a guy (I think he was either a lawyer or a prison warden) phrase it so right - ‘the problem has become that the criminal is more important and has become more important than the victim and even more important than the crime and the law - which leads to the criminal becoming more important than society.’

    That SUCKS and is WRONG.

By the way the ‘lethal injection’ of humans is more humanly done than putting an animal ‘to sleep’, the overdosing of terminally ill patients, or the way Mrs. Shavio died last year. I didn’t hear any of these anti-death penalty whinners screaming for her.

  13. The death penalty is LAW right now - otherwise it would not be an option in the court room. So simply inject him once, twice and the third wins. Any certified tech can feel for a pulse or check for heartbeat. Just another obsticle put into the way of protecting human beings from the animalistic and evil sub-humans loosed into society by these same self whinning namby pamby idiots who wouldn’t touch this guy on a bet - but do everything and anything to let him live.

WHY? What is set up and capital punishment is a gazillion times more humane and decent than what these dispicable sub-humans did to get to this point. I guess in a long winded way I am just saying, why are these people caring about these scum? I just don’t get it at all. Does it make me less human or less Christian? No not at all, religion encourages (a damn site more than secularism appears to) people to adhere to ‘the law of the land’ and to legally change it, if there is a moral reason to.

Not subtrafuge, subversion, and other simply stalling tactics. I wonder where the legal community is on this one, as it their system and beliefs that are being made a joke of.

I guess very few groups in America have the backbone anymore to stand up to the vocal wackos. And I have no intention of letting these idiots run MY country, not while there is a breath left in my body.

  15. So lemme get this straight: Morales chokes her for a bit; when that fails, he brains her with a hammer, drags her (probably dead corpse) out of the car and rapes her? Then he stabs her? For shits and giggles?!? To hell with humane injections; burn him at the stake, but do it slow-like. Fry both feet first, then let him rot for a month. Wait for gangrene to take hold, then cut off the legs with no anesthesia. Do the same for the hands. Then cut off his cock-n-balls (apologies to Adam Sandler), shove ‘em up his tailpipe, and toss him into a large tub full of boiling water.

    Fuck ‘im.

  17. I guess it is just too LOGICAL to follow the already in place protocol, and have a nice shiny , sharp pin, and once he’s sedated, “pin-poke....gee! he grimaced..respers are 22, heart rate at 96....ok, well, let me give him a litte more of the juice and check him again in 5 minutes”....5 minutes go by...."pin-poke..huh...no grimace....okie dokie, lemme check one more time....pin-poke pin- poke....yes, no response, resting quietly, in no apparent distress, breathing even, and unlabored, respers are 16, heart rate of 68.....proceed with execution”

and again, where is the VICTIM in all of this? Was she given even an ounce of humane treatment? NO. She is forgotten in all of this teeth gnashing over humane execution for this SCUMBAG CRIMINAL.

oh yes!!, make sure that nice shiny, sharp pin is sterile! we don’t want to have this guy getting an infection rolleyes

  18. Erotic-D,

That reminded me of the old joke question, “Why do they wipe his arm with alcohol to inject the lethal stuff. Its not like it’ll have time to get infected.”

...and, if I hadn’t drawn the Skippers notice about the open tag, he probably would have miss....ow...ow...ouch....yipe!...OKAY! Uh, I guess he wouldn’t have missed it after all. Never mind.

Now I will dutifully preview my conmment.

yes, Dear Lord!! by all means Cheesy Poof, please! use the preview button, i am so anxious about it now, i have a post it note reminder- seriously, because i do NOT desire that dreaded , foul misnomer.....*bimbo* seems more humane ha!, and seriously Cheesy poof, i really didnt mean to mess up the comments....i am imperfectly perfect, we all make mistakes...and now, i too shall dutifully preview my comment

  21. OCM,

See my first post. Surely you don’t think “scientific experiments” would be merciful?

Oh, no! Not the ones I have in mind. Mainly, my idea of SE’s involves testing to destruction. Theirs, that is.

As for the non-lethal-but-still-disgusting crimes you mention, simply give the convict a choice: one year (or whatever) of scientific experiments, or life without parole in the cell of Big Bruce and his Log of Love - or whomever the convict wants least to bunk with.

Think of all the drugs the FDA could fast-track, the astronaut-training improvements we could achieve, the long-duration hostile environment tests we could run, the surgical techniques we could perfect, etc. It truly would be a way for these crudballs to repay society. And it would hurt, a lot, and often.

Besides, I’ve always wondered just how high the jerk would jump after the SECOND cattle-prod-up-his-butt ignition. And the third....etc. A graph could be made.

  22. Erotic-D,

    Don’t sweat it.

Ever notice that the Skipper’s avatar looks like him when the doctor cheerfully walks in and says, “OK! Now...lets have a look at that prostate!”

In case I’m banned, it been nice folks.

Posted by Cheese_tensor    United States   02/24/2006  at  04:15 PM

  23. Yeah...details, details.

The imagery is nonetheless....appropriate. Shoulda said “check out”, but - whatever.

And...yes...it is extremely unfortunate that they don’t “look” at it, rather than use the braille method. Most or us men wish we could just mail it in or something...or get a waiver.

Tell me, how’s it feel to be wormed, O’cat?

Posted by Cheese_tensor    United States   02/24/2006  at  04:29 PM

  24. Sorry to weigh in so late (server been down), but according to my toxiciology book, the lethal dose of Thiopental (Pentothal) which is the first drug administered in an execution is 1 gram.  The usual dose of Thiopental administered during the execution is 4 grams. These doctors are getting away with murder so to speak, after 4 grams of Thiopental, there would be no way that they can prove that this animal is feeling any pain or not.  Again according to the toxicology book- Prognisis for severe poisoning (which 4 times the fatal dose is) is : coma with slow, shallow, irregular respiration, cyanosis, absence of all reflexes, low blood pressure, hypothermia, dilated pupils and the ABSENCE OF RESPONSE TO PAINFUL STIMULI (Emphasis mine).

Posted by AndyJ    United States   02/24/2006  at  04:37 PM

  25. What can I say but.......(wait for it).............touche!

I’ve always regarded the prostate (to the limited extent I give it any thought at all) as proof positive of God’s sense of humor. WHY IN HELL WAS THAT WHOLE INTERNAL PLUMBING SYSTEM DESIGNED THE WAY IT IS!!!!???

Running the whiz-tube RIGHT THRU the prostate where it can (inevitably) get constricted and blocked is the dumbest design I’ve ever heard of. What was He thinking? I bet He never has to whiz.

Note: I am actually aware of the latest theoretical “evolutionary & gender reasons” for the design, but I still would not have signed off on it if it was a mil/aerospace design. I’d have fired the designer and gone into cost-plus on the whole friggin’ project. Spines and ankles are another pet peeve I have. And necks. Stupid design, necks. They break.

And why do us guys have nipples? Dumb. Useless.

But...none of this has anything to do with scumbags and dead ladies, which was where our Skipper originally directed our attention.

  26. Shredded cheese, anyone? The snack bar is now open. We also have a special on fava beans to go with that cheese. Agent Starling, will you help me serve these folks ... ?

  27. [cheese_tensor:
‘bout your idea that we do medical experiments-ala dr.mengele-on him; well great minds think alike!
I think that “special treatment” should be extended to ALL deathrow inmates.
The husband thinks that sort of thinking is creepy coming from an former-Jew.
Btw-be thankful that Morales didn’t kill in ill-annoy!
Though technically we still have the death penalty here, thanks to the “moratorium” Morales would be likely to outlive all of us. machinegun

  28. Not shredded Skip - just stale and losing flavor and interest.

I did read a rather nasty piece of information about store-bought pre-shredded cheese at Hog on Ice. But I can’t bring myself to contemplate the aweful truth.

ALT - Yeah, I’m aware of the faint “Mengale (sp?)” scent that could be attached to my words. Not intended. Besides, interpretation on the part of others does not constitute statements, or intent, by the originator. That is the contradiction to whole falacious core of the PC philosophy. Placing responsibility for ones’ feelings on others is childish. And furthermore.....I’ve read way worse. Here.

Philosophically, I do wish there was some consistent and controlled way to make serious scumbags pay, and pay, and pay. They owe us. They owe their victims. And I suspect that - specific words and scenarios notwithstanding - that has been the intent of all the posts.

...and I would indeed make God suffer for the prostate design boo-boo!

  30. I don’t understand it.. they have basically stopped most other forms of execution except for lethal injection claiming they were “Cruel And Unusual Punishment” BULL.... Cruel And Unusual Punishment should never apply to murderers.. I think as soon as you are convicted of Murder you should lose all Protections.. There is no punishment that is too cruel for Monsters like this...their victims were’nt allowed to be put to sleep before they were brutalized…

Posted by Infinity    United States   02/24/2006  at  08:46 PM

  31. A pure and simple solution… All murderers will be put to death the same way that they killed their victims.  In this case, a hammer, a belt and a raping by big Bubba.  If it wasn’t cruel and inhumane for the victim, then it shouldn’t be for the killer

Posted by AndyJ    United States   02/24/2006  at  09:14 PM

  32. An anestheologist called Rush today and talked about this situation. Here are the key points he made.

    1) the amount of the sleep agent (sorry I have sometimers and a lousy short term memory) is 5 TIMES the dosage used during surgery. As this MD said - our scumbag wouldn’t feel anything and certainly wasn’t going to be waking up. Also this dose in itself is lethal. He said that this argument was just a red herring to get the execution postponed and into court where . . .

    2) the 9th Circut Court is the one that has set this situation up by requiring a MD to be present at the ENTIRE procedure. While there is no need for a doctor (unless something goes horribly wrong) or until afterward to pronounce death. The 9th Circut wants to (obviously) prevent the death sentence from ever happening. Most reputable MDs can’t be present during the 2nd and 3rd injections as that is standing by while a healthy person is killed. The AMA (especially I am sure in CA) will go after them. Yada, yada, yada. . .

Someone must make the judges of the 9th Circut Court babysit for the weekend for Manson and Morales and a couple of others (like the guy ‘raising’ the killer dogs in SF from prison - real sweet guy, white supremist and all that). Maybe then they will change their tune on keeping these scum alive and doing it by over reaching their bounds and re-writing (oops, re-interpreting) the LAWS.

Again, the death penalty is the law of the land - work in the proper ways and forums to bring an end to it - not all this crap that essentially voids our legal system, criminal trials and the jury decision.

Sorry if you don’t like it - who died and made them God???? Maybe, just maybe I’m RIGHT and this scumbag should die. Ok who decides, let’s see - like maybe a jury of his peers. Oh, yeah - they already decided.
Scumbag dies. Too bad 9th Circut and all the anti-death penalty whinners.

  33. Florida has had their executions delayed further while they wait for the US supreme court to rule on lethal injection.. as if we needed any more delays here, although it seems to be backwards too.. The people who have 2 or less victims seem to be executed a lot faster then the serial killers… Rolling’s been on Death row for 13 years(since his last conviction), Bundy was on Death Row for 9 years after convicted basically 11 years after his first trial)… Wish more states would follow Texas..... if you are proved of killing more then 3 people it should be mandated that the death sentence is carried out within 3 years of your conviction IMHO, forget Appeals.. with a confession or Proven DNA match why is there any reason for Parole? Bring back Hangings and Guillotine on the public square...still too tame for some of these monsters....

  34. I was in Californica last week when this story broke. Guess what? The local news stations went on and on about Morales and his story but I had to tune into a National News station (Fox) to get the details about what he did to the victim.

    Actually, that was not surprising.
