  1. OCM, yeah - the libs/dems favorite playbook - VietNam and Nixon - how politics ruins a war and tarnishes the Armed Forces for decades [and for grins increases drug use, encourages and endorses treason and sedition, and makes magastars and political pundits of journalists and hollyweird types]

Just glad to see reality finally creeping into the newpaper arena. Now if they would just print some the more inane comments by the libs/dems and call them on it - we might get somewhere positively.

Funny - when reporters were embedded with the units - during the ‘war’ - and when reporters opt to be embedded (even now) the War in Iraq is just so different than by the usual drivel from the ‘journalists’ “reporting” from the Hotel in Baghdad. Do we see the problem, so why can’t they?????

Oh yeah, that would mean admitting that they are the problem.

  2. Hey, Dudes, what’s the deal with today’s (3-27-06) “Day By Day”?
Zed has some previous undisclosed military history?

  3. Of course Oink - where the heck did he learn to shoot?

And OCM - your point about President Bush being a lame duck is exactly why I wonder exactly what the big deal libs/leftists/dems have with him/his administration - it won’t be around in two years, he can’t run for re-election and VP Cheney isn’t going to run - - so what’s the big deal???? Oh yeah, it’s BDS because this stupid yokel from TexAss beat their guy (and probably illegally at that).

Get over it and move on. Perhaps if they actually admitted that 2000 and 2004 went against them and studied what they did wrong and what the Repubs did right - they might be able to win an election - but that won’t happen because once again - they can’t admit that they lost and did something wrong. And by the way, it’s all Bushs fault. And so on and so on and so on.

  4. mama: But isn’t this something new for the strip?

I learned to shoot from my Dad; learned to shoot better from the USMC.  But life isn’t fair—I had a friend in college, a non-vet whose father never took him hunting.  He could shoot the eyes out of a potato.  I met an Olympic class marksman once—creepy, the guy stood as still as a pillar, didn’t seem to have a nerve in his body.  And that was when he was just standing there talking to you.
