What is THE most frightening part of this story? Take a moment to re-read and consider.
********************************************************************
ANS: That a guy was serving 20 years for armed robbery in a prison with locks that could be opened with popsicle sticks. No ! The latch of my four y/o Grandson’s toy box is tougher than that. Geeez! Why not just have mandatory 11 AM checkout time at that crackerbox joint?
Yeah, that part really sticks out the most in the story.
after using a Popsicle stick as a key
WTF?
yeah.. that prison needs a serious security overhaul or find a new supplier for popsicles that doesnt make the sticks out of metal or a paperclip LOL..
Where’s Barb? (ALTwerp) She can demonstrate the pronunciation of CHUTZPAH !
(The key is to imagine tenacious sputum stuck in your throat)
There has to be more to this story. I cannot believe a clown serving 20yrs for armed robbery could escape with a key made fropm a popsicle (ice lolly?) stick. That is scandalous. There is something about counterfeiting money that really gets my goat. This is one crime where I think the towel head punishment scheme should come into force. Or they should have a tatoo on their forehead reading “scumbag” Don’t ask me why, but it infuriates me, it’s such an underhand way to steal from everyone.
Oh and Oink, thanks for making me feel ill with your description of “chutzpah”
You Yanks should know that England has a long illustrious history of crooks finagling with their currency, up to WW2 when the Nazis tried dumping excellent counterfeits. Sir Isaac Newton tackled the problem at a time when MOST coins were fake or clipped. Counterfeiting was treason since the King issued coins and his image was on them.
