Cosby In The News Again

 

1. My son’s wife, Parn, is from Thailand.  Old Top 40 songs, old TV shows, much of our pop culture, she is unaware of.  So.....my son comes upstairs and finds her lying in bed watching “Unforgiveable Blackness”—about Jack Johnson, the black boxer.
   She says, “You white people were sooo bad!”
   He tells her, “Wait until you see ‘Birth of a Nation’—it makes us look much better.”

2. The more Bill Cosby, and folks like him, speak out; the more positive the impact. People are hearing what he has to say and taking it to heart. Stop with the slavery bullshit. That is no excuse for criminal behavior. Choose good over bad and good things will come to you.

3. And because DR. Cosby has opened his mouth To Tell The Truth, we now have this little ”allegation” come out of the woodwork....

4. This makes me think of a woman in Dayton a few years ago. She spent the night in jail for taking the belt to her teen-age son because he had been out past 2a.m.

   She wasn’t at all stopped by the experience. “They better put a revolving door on that jail” she said. “As long as he lives with me he’s gonna do what I tell him.”

   With any luck she went home and whooped his ass again. Maybe she made something out of him. I hope so.

   It was a travesty, however that the law would put this woman in jail for trying to make something out of her son and keep him out of trouble.

   This Mother got it long before Cosby started his campaign. I’m glad he did, though, he’ll reach more people than she did.
