That final paragraph sums up governmental attitude to everything. Taxes, regulations, etc. Raise taxes on junk food to fund programs. Well, what happens if people cut down on junk food? Less money raised because people adapted. So the program is no longer funded like they said it would be 5 years ago when they got it passed into law. Now taxes have to go up in other areas to make up for the shortfall. Government always assumes static change - in other words, none. They never stop to think what happens when people adapt to new stimuli.

The fact is, man has no control over climate. NONE.
If we did, wouldn’t we try to make an Edenic spring/early summer at all times and places?
But man can, and far too frequently, does control his fellow man. To the total benefit of the controller.
The bottom line is that “liberals” don’t care that the global warming data was faked. I’ve been bluntly told that even if the data is fake “Only Rush Rimbaugh denies global warming.”
Go figure.
2012 - I have it on great authority from those denizens of intelligence and education in Hollywood that the World is ending in 2012 - so none of this matters at all.
It would be funny, if it didn’t seem that these people are lying, cheating and stealing their way to World domination - which could lead to the end of the Civilization as we know it.
Yes the greatest disaster would be buying into this Hoax of all Time - Global Warming/Climate Change/Whatever.
