Congress Says NO To Draft

 

1. "The House voted 402-2 to defeat the draft bill offered last year by Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y.

   Even he [Rangel, apparently] urged Democrats to vote against the bill, and charged Republicans were cynically trying to use the measure to escape election-season questions about the war in Iraq.”

   OK, my head hurts now.

   So Rangel offers the bill, pushes it for over a year (I remember seeing him on TV last year defending it), turns around and urges Dems to vote against it, watches it go down in flames, and accuses Repubs of...what??

   OK, my head hurts more now.

   Can’t we just tar-and-feather the fucker and chase him out of town with cattleprods? Please?
