  1. The end may justify the means as long as there is something that justifies the end.

Comrade Leon Trotsky. Is it any wonder, then, why the Donks are the neo-Copperheads?

  2. These frickin a**holes need to be FIRED yesterday. To take a real life, normal and acceptable reason - INVESTIGATION & EVIDENCE COLLECTION - and twist and distort it into the military (evil as they are) and thus through implication bushitlerburtonco are always and simply CYA. What a crock of steaming bs.

The only reason he was probably ordered to do it - was because how many times is a relative in the same combat theater?

This is bs and it needs to stop. Perhaps Congress should be made to watch CSI once in a while to see that investigation and crime scene takes more than 30 seconds.

And anyone in the Army, a police investigation, a court room KNOWS one person word does not a case make. Most especially a lower echelon peon.

Take a look at this Vietnamation of OIF: Tillman (only NFL player to go to VN, was killed), Tillman (Mullens, friendly fire death who created the ‘Mother Sheehan’ of VN, Peg Mullens who went around the US on an anti-war monger fest), MyLai - ‘scooped’ by Seymor Hersh based on two letters by soldiers (’scooped’ Abu Ghraib based on a letter sent to him by the uncle of a soldier), anti-war mongers ‘turned’ America against VN after Walter Cronkite deemed ‘the War is lost’ - I hope that the same is not true this time after Senator Harry Reid (TRAITOR) has declared the same thing.

  3. Why is it when Democrats win, America looses?

Time for true Americans to unite.

  4. Uhhhhh, Jessica Lynch didn’t fire a shot.  Ended up a POW.  Ended up being a risk to those who ultimately recued her.

Could this be a good reason not to have women in military assignments that may be exposed to combat?

    Just asking.

  5. Why didn’t the Army just tell the truth about the death of Tillman?  Their is no way you’re going to get some junior enlisted member to keep quiet forever.  Friendly fire was suspected right at the beginning and they should have told Tillman’s family that.  When the Jessica Lynch thing happened, that was cussed and discussed right here on this blog and we suspected just what she is now saying.  The Army brass got caught in a lie and now Congress is going to lay it on the President.  After all, he’s Commander-in-Chief and he’s the one who needs to make sure the Generals understand his policies...Tell The Truth.

  6. What you said BobF. It is easier to tell the truth in the first place. I hope the brass that lied about this get fired. We aren’t really losing any heroes because of what is happening in these hearings. We may be losing a few liars. Anybody who joins the military knowing that they may get killed is a hero in my book.

  7. As I recall, Jessica Lynch soaked up all that Hero-suff and got college scholarships and other rewards.  Only now, years later does she talk about it.

    Must be PTSD.

  8. “We don’t know what the secretary of defense knew, we don’t know what the White House knew,” Waxman said. “What we do know is these were not a series of accidents, these stories. They were calculatedly put out for a public relations purpose. ... Even now there seems to be a cover-up.”
God, I hate this obnoxious a-hole! War propaganda is nothing new, it is a well established practice played by allies and enemies alike.  This congress is hell bent on trashing this administration and could give a rats ass about getting anything positive done. Speaking of coverups, how bout them nostrils!

  9. Jessica’s turnaround is more like “I got mine so now I’m gonna bite the hand that fed me.”

    loser

  10. Actually, IMHO it was wise to postpone telling Tillman’s brother in the field, but he should have been told the truth as far it was known at the time as soon as he was back in garrison. The subsequent PR bullshit was totally unnecessary, as his enlistment and foregoing of millions was heroic enough.  The OIC of that BS should be cashiered ASAP.

As to Lynch, she was a PC poster child, and I can’t blame the brass for that.  The armed services have been beat to death for years to have more affirmative action for women in roles of increasing responsibility and danger.  The brass and the feminazis have lied about efficacy, lowered testing standards, and implemented double standards to get women in billets where they on average don’t belong.

Don’t get me wrong; if a woman can pull her weight without changing qualification standards, if no special treatment is required to enable her to do her job, if she can do the job as well or better than a similarly qualified man in the same circumstances, in other words, if the result of her deployment is utterly gender neutral, then by all means use her talent.

That Hummer full of supply corp women had no business being in a combat zone with their qualifications.

  11. Jessica got her 15 minutes of fame and wants 15 minutes more.....could be pressing for a playboy photo op. cutebutt

  12. In the Tillman incident the Commander got repremanded and he is the one NOW leading the charge on the coverup crap. I am sorry - I question everything the media and Congress does in regard to President Bush, the Administration, OIF and OEF right now. Their bias is out in the open. In reverse - how come NOW?!? why not push this issue when it happened - because the Army investigated, judged and punished. Now it can just be distorted and twisted to IMPLY that something was done wrong.

On Jessica Lynch - remember it was the media who overblew the required (we are now seeing soldiers taping every patrol to protect themselves from lawsuits) video of the rescue as the military hyping itself. But I agree that women should not be in combat - but that bird is already long out of that cage.

Wait a couple of years and twist and distort to imply. Seems to be the only thing that Congress can do against this President/War.

Might we not all join together and remind our Representatives that legislation is their JOB not rewriting all the actions of this Administration in an effort to secure votes, pander to the insane moonbats and just smear a Republican President in an attempt to maybe, just maybe get one of their worthless candidates elected.

So much for bi partisan, stop the culture of corruption, civilitry in government DNC. They are so full of such crap.
