  1. "qualifies as a media entity” ... “the site’s primary function is to provide news and commentary” ... “creation and distribution of the DailyKos falls within the scope of the exemption”

Mwaaahahahahahaaa! This means that we’re all officially journalists now!

(I’ll make you a deal Mr C.: I won’t call you “Chief” and you won’t call me “Jimmy Olsen")

I guess sometimes you can make a silk purse from a sow’s ear; this is a good ruling on a bad law. And even assholes can do the right thing once in a while. Whatever law Bambenek was referring to - one that mandates a large voice in a crowd having to register as a political organization - is utterly unconstitutional to begin with. Wait a sec ... that’s McCain-Fiengold he was trying to use, isn’t it? grin

As a semi-regular contributing editor here, it is my opinion that Fred Thompson is the best candidate (so far) for President. Vote for Fred!

  2. Funny how the various campaign finance laws keep being found unconstitutional, ain’t it?

  3. Great Ceasar’s ghost!

Drew, he ain’t a candidate - quiiiiite yet.

Some years ago the Moonies ran afoul of some tax law and decided to fight it. A whole bunch of Christian churches and organizations joined them and won the day.

Funny, the Christians would have nothing to do, ideologically, with the Unification Church, but worked with them when they had common ground. Here, Hawkins, who carries no water for Kos, congratulates them for Speaking Truth To Power.

But Saddam and Al Q would NEVER work together on anything like, oh, say, terrorist activities. They were just too far apart ideologically.

    Right?

  4. I am underwhelmed that Kos constitutes ‘media’ - to me it shows just how far into the crapper media has fallen - however - I do agree with the crappy and obviously un-Constitutional campaign finance laws which the cheating scoundrels who benefit from such finances themselves wrote. I can see why people develop a ‘why give a damn attitude’ - crapweasels all.
