Should mention that I only do G/15 on chess.com. My actual otb rating is 1822.
I even held a GM to a draw once. And forced an IM to withdraw from a tournament. Said if the local 1800s are that strong, he wasn’t gonna win any money. (he did eventally force me to resign. Took him until 3AM to do it.)
Another thought. Should I start a chess blog? Would any of you be interested?
Nice game. I downloaded the PGN and examined it. All in all a good effort.
If you started a chess blog I think it would just end up breaking your heart and will. You would get a few people interested but the time you would spend would likely be well beyond what the response warranted. There are after all quite a few chess sites out there.
Posting a problem now and again here at BMEWS seems about right. I would like to see you do one a week posted on the same day and time. It would keep those that care interested without sucking too much time from your life.
On the game in question: How rapid are your moves? The few times I played online my opps thought I was too slow and yes I do take my time. Forty moves in 2.5 hours is my speed. I make too many mistakes playing fast.
Once a week? That I can do. But I hope you enjoy my chess.com efforts.
Anyway, I now need to pull one of the books off the shelf and post a new problem. Another one from Combination Challenge I think.
Good advice Wes. I’m a payed-up annual member of my local chess club. I think that would be the proper venue. At least the local players would be submitting their games. The guy running the club is a good player, but seriously deficient on running the website. I know that, I started the website.
Oh God! Don’t tell Drew or peiper that. Bad enough when Mr. Christian was considering me to run BMEWS. No, no, no! I hardly ever post on my personal blog.
