Colin Powell endorses Barack Obama for White House .
There was a blurb over here to the effect that Powell was considering endorsing Obama in August. It doesn’t surprise me in the least.

Can the Republican Party kick his ass out now?
Didn’t Powell say something like an African American president would be electrifying for the world? But then, again, he also said it’s not about race.
Mr Powell said he was disappointed by a “rightward shift” by Mr McCain and by his selection of Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska as his vice-presidential running mate, whom he said was not ready to be president.
WTF?!?! “rightward shift”????? Shit General Powell, I thought you loved this country beyond being race fodder. Another hero lost to me.
He criticised Mr McCain, 72, a long-time friend to whose primary campaign he donated the maximum permissible $2,300 last year, for being inconsistent in his approach to the Wall Street meltdown. “"Almost every day he had a different approach to the problems we were having.”
Ever hear the phrase “Improvise, adapt, and overcome”? I’m ashamed that this communist, racist, former General was ever one of my heroes. The absolute ONLY reason for anyone to vote for B’HO is because of that “preference” thing. It’s for sure not because of his suitability to lead this nation.
